    The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (Minister Hwang Hee) and the Korea Creative Content Agency (CEO Cho Hyun-rae, hereafter referred to as Konjinwon) announced the ‘2022 Content Startup Support Project’ to nurture prospective founders and content start-ups who will lead innovation through the convergence of technology and content. It was announced on the 14th that it was recruiting participating companies (teams).

    In the Digital New Deal sector, up to 80 million won in commercialization funds are provided by selecting startups that prepare for digital transformation in the content sector or create a new market through the combination of content and new technology. In the social venture sector, up to 62.5 million won is supported by selecting venture companies that grow by solving social problems with innovative means.

    The ‘Startup Leap Program’ provides support for a total of 2.9 billion won for mid-term startups within 3 to 7 years of their founding, which are in the leap phase. By creating innovative business Start-ups that will lead the digital transformation era are selected and supported up to KRW 150 million. Selected accelerators receive up to 270 million won for startup nurturing and accelerator competency reinforcement costs, and 10 content start-ups for each accelerator are selected to conduct nurturing projects such as mentoring and investment attraction.

    In addition, the ‘Contents Open Innovation (Confinity)’ project to discover excellent startups in collaboration with large companies and to build a self-sustaining startup ecosystem will be carried out with a total of 1 billion won. This year, we will discover and nurture start-ups that present technologies and innovative business models for various collaborations with large companies such as metaverse, NFT, IP, and utilization of idle space. .

    Conjinone led the remarkable expansion of sales and investment attraction of supporting companies through customized support projects for each stage of content startups. The sales of 97 supported companies in 2017 increased from 10.5 billion won to a total of 79.2 billion won in 2021 from 123 companies, a sevenfold increase.
