    KOCCA Unveils 6 Billion KRW ‘2026 Korea Indie Game Dev Camp’ in Partnership with 7 Tech Giants

    • Stage-Gate System: A 4-stage competitive roadmap taking games from initial concept to a high-polish Vertical Slice.
    • Target: Open to both pre-startups (60 slots) and established early-stage companies (70 slots).

    The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA) have officially opened applications for the 2026 Korea Indie Game Dev Camp. This year, the program has been completely restructured to focus on “survival through polish,” providing intensive support to help raw ideas evolve into market-ready prototypes.

    A Roadmap from Concept to “Vertical Slice”

    Unlike traditional one-time grants, the 2026 Dev Camp operates on a competitive, multi-stage elimination and growth model. This ensures that only the most viable and creative projects reach the final funding stage.

    • Toss (Viva Republica): Insights into UI/UX and monetization strategies.
    • Smilegate / Com2uS Holdings: Access to global publishing networks and major game expo invitations.

    Funding and Grant Breakdown

    Projects that successfully navigate the competitive stages to the final phase will receive substantial development incentives:

    • Enterprises: Up to 140 Million KRW per project.
    • Individuals/Pre-startups: Up to 85 Million KRW per project.
