        ▶
Anyone between the ages of 19 and 34 who is a young developer can apply online by March 4th.

The Chungnam Global Game Center, under the Chungnam Content Promotion Agency, is recruiting teams for the second round of its “2026 Indie Game Park Incubation.” Building on the success of the first round last year, the center has significantly expanded the scope and scope of support.

Recruitment for two categories: aspiring entrepreneurs and early-stage startups.

This recruitment is divided into two categories: aspiring entrepreneurs and startups established within the past three years. Any young indie game developer (individual or team) aged 19 to 34 as of the announcement date can apply, regardless of platform, including PC, mobile, or console. However, selected teams must have at least one member residing in the center’s development lab and commuting to and from work at least ten times per month.

Applications will be accepted online until 6:00 PM on March 4th, and the final selection will be announced in March after document review and presentation evaluation.

Integrated support from a dedicated development environment to a stepping stone to global expansion.

The selected teams will be provided with a shared development lab located near KTX Cheonan-Asan Station. Additionally, the package includes mentoring from industry experts, monthly development and maintenance expenses, support for partner-based advancements in graphics, sound, QA, and translation, and entrepreneurship and marketing training programs. Teams selected for excellence in the final evaluation scheduled for October will also receive a separate startup grant.

This year, in particular, it is noteworthy that overseas expansion support programs will be further strengthened, including support for overseas publisher network connections, platform testing, and participation in global game shows.

1st term achievements: Tokyo Game Show training, G-Star participation, and contest awards

The first round, which began last year, saw the participation of 14 teams, including aspiring entrepreneurs and early-stage startups. The participating projects spanned a wide range of platforms, including PC, mobile, console, and VR, encompassing a wide range of genres, including roguelike, RPG, action, strategy, puzzle, simulation, and multiplayer.

Participating teams held demo exhibitions and showcases at major domestic and international gaming events, including Play Expo, Busan Indie Connect Festival, G-Star, and Gamescom Asia x Thailand Game Show, while also gathering user feedback and meeting with publishers. They also participated in training at the Tokyo Game Show in Japan, conducting local market research, consulting with publishers, and analyzing global user experiences, laying the foundation for overseas expansion.

In the October performance evaluation, the winning teams were selected based on the criteria of completeness, game play, genre interpretation, market response potential, and utilization of exhibition feedback. The Grand Prize winner was MC Studio’s ‘Space Revolver’, the Excellence Award winners were Hardcoders’ ‘SEMO’ and Alphathree’s ‘The T’, and the Excellence Award winners were Blossom Games, Mook, and Project Nook.

From South Chungcheong Province to the Global Market… Aiming for a Virtuous Cycle in the Regional Gaming Ecosystem

Kim Gok-mi, the president of the Chungnam Content Promotion Agency, said, “The Indie Game Park incubation project goes beyond simple startup support. Its goal is to create a virtuous ecosystem where young developers in the region can focus on development in a stable environment, interact with local game companies, and grow.” She added, “Last year’s participants achieved excellent results, such as participating in domestic and international game shows and winning awards at competitions, so we look forward to receiving support from many talented individuals this year as well.”

The Chungnam Global Game Center emphasized that the ultimate significance of this project lies in creating an environment where young talents in the Chungnam region can go from starting a business to entering the global market without having to leave the metropolitan area or other regions.

Details regarding the 2nd Indie Game Park Incubation Program can be found on the Chungnam Content Promotion Agency’s official website.
