Support for 82 projects across three areas: general, functional, and AI… Mobile support expanded for the second consecutive year.
Strengthening support for the entire global expansion cycle, from development to international exhibitions and FGT.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA, Acting President Yoo Hyun-seok) are recruiting companies to participate in the “2026 Game Content Production Support Project” to support the commercialization and international expansion of excellent domestic games. The application deadline is 3:00 PM on March 3.
This project will be operated in three tracks: ▲General ▲Functionality (Designated) ▲Artificial Intelligence (AI) Game, and a total of 23.6 billion won will be invested to select and support approximately 82 projects.

General model, totaling 19.3 billion won… Segmented support by platform
The ‘general game content production support’, which accounts for the largest portion, is worth a total of 19.3 billion won and targets five fields: ▲PC ▲Console ▲Mobile ▲Arcade ▲Board games.
For PC projects, up to 400 million won per project (development) is available, and up to 200 million won per project (release). For console projects, up to 200 million won per project (development) is available, up to 500 million won per project (development) is available, and up to 200 million won per project (release). Platform-switching projects can receive up to 400 million won.
The mobile sector offers up to 400 million won in support for the first year (development phase) and up to 200 million won for the second year (release phase). The arcade sector offers up to 200 million won per project, and the board game sector offers up to 80 million won.
This year, in particular, we’ve introduced a new “release-type (second year)” support system for mobile games, restructuring the system to allow for up to two years of continuous support from development through commercialization. This system aims to reduce the gap between development and launch and facilitate market penetration.
Strengthening functionality and AI, supporting both social value and technological innovation.
The “Functional Game Content Production Support” program, valued at a total of 1.6 billion won, targets content that combines the fun elements of games with social values such as education, prevention, and treatment. Up to 300 million won is available per project, and designated areas include social contribution, content for seniors and people with disabilities, and games for prevention and treatment purposes.
Additionally, to enhance the effectiveness of functional games, two outstanding projects will be selected in 2025 and additional support of up to 50 million won will be provided per project.
The “AI Game Content Production Support” program, newly established this year, is valued at a total of 2.7 billion won. Grants of up to 300 million won per project are available, and the goal is to discover innovative content that utilizes AI technology as a core element of gameplay. Through this program, KOCCA aims to secure future growth engines for K-games and lead the way in global technological competitiveness.
Comprehensive support from FGT to overseas exhibitions and localization
Selected projects will undergo demonstration evaluations in the form of focus group testing (FGT) with participation from domestic and international general users and experts, and quality inspection support will also be provided before launch.
In addition, we plan to provide support for commercialization and overseas expansion through participation in major overseas game exhibitions such as ChinaJoy, Gamescom, Tokyo Game Show, Gamescom Asia, and Brazil Game Show, as well as the ‘Game Plus’ project, global localization support, and financial investment and loan linkage programs.
