    The Korea Mobile Game Association will host the 2026 AI & Game Industry Forum on the 27th.

    Hosted and organized by the Korea Mobile Game Association and sponsored by Megazone Soft and Alibaba Cloud, this forum consists of two parts: a seminar featuring AI and game industry experts, and a networking party. It aims to provide an overview of rapidly evolving AI technology trends and share specific technical examples applicable to actual game development processes, thereby strengthening the competitiveness of small and medium-sized domestic game developers.

    In particular, it presents practical solutions for how small and medium-sized developers, particularly those with limited human resources and resources, can leverage AI to improve development efficiency and innovate content. The seminar topics will also be diverse, covering the latest industry trends in AI, games, IP, the HTML5 market, and subculture.

    The first part of the seminar will feature leading domestic and international AI, cloud companies, and game content companies as speakers. First, in the “AI Session,” Alibaba Cloud’s Tech Lead, Jongjin Lim, will begin his lecture with “Introducing Alibaba Cloud AI Solutions Essential for Game Development and Operation.” Next, Team Leader Chaeyeon Hong from Megazone Soft, Asia’s largest cloud MSP, will present “Introducing Alibaba Cloud AI Visual Model and Megazone Reference,” highlighting how global AI technology can be applied to content production and introducing Megazone’s unique references.

    Next up will be NC AI Managing Director Im Soo-jin’s presentation, “VARCO Game AI: Solving the Real-World Challenges of Mobile Game Development.” NC AI, a leader in domestic game AI technology, will introduce core game AI technologies actively utilized within the NC Group and explore potential applications. The session will conclude with Anchor Node CEO Won Jae-ho’s presentation, “The Post-AI World: The Future of Game Development.”

    The following ‘Game Industry Session’ will cover real-world content success stories and convergence business models. ▲ Hive’s CEO Won Se-yeon will share the real-life case of Hive, which has operated Korea’s longest-running mobile IP, ‘Dragon Village’, for 14 years through [A Choice That Never Gave Up: The Strategy for Surviving 14 Years with Dragon Village], and the know-how of maintaining a single game IP for a long time and expanding the fandom.

    Next, ▲Starlike Director Lee Hyeong-cheol will present on the topic of [The ‘Line of Coexistence’ Seen by the Illustration Star Festival: The Importance of Guidelines]. He will examine the current limitations of AI adoption, where efficiency and the emotional value of subculture fandoms collide. Rather than presenting a perfect solution right away, he will propose coexistence guidelines and practical directions that creators, users, and the industry should gradually agree on, based on the conflicts and trial and error experienced at the Illustration Star Festival.

    The seminar will conclude with ▲Toss CEO Hwang Ji-man’s [The Era of Mini-Games, Discovering New Opportunities Using AI], and ▲Scatter Lab CEO Kim Jong-yoon’s special session [zeta: A New Paradigm in Entertainment – AI Entertainment Service Used 12 Hours a Week].

    The seminar, which runs from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, will be followed by a “Part 2 Networking Party” for attendees to network and connect. Approximately 80 participants from various industries, including game developers, publishers, platforms, and investors, will attend, engaging in open exchanges and exploring practical business opportunities.

    Chairman Hwang Seong-ik stated, “I believe AI is no longer an option, but an essential survival tool for the gaming industry. I hope this forum will serve as an opportunity for small and medium-sized game developers to discover development innovation and new business opportunities through AI technology. Furthermore, the Korea Mobile Game Association will continue to host conferences on topics such as AI, subculture, indie games, game IP, and global market entry, and engage in activities that can benefit the Korean gaming industry.”
