- A psychological horror stealth adventure presented by a Polish one-person development studio
- He trades cigarettes and information to evade prison guard patrols and uncover prison secrets.
- Demo released featuring the first two missions and approximately 25 minutes of gameplay… Official launch on November 12
DELANIVO GAMES, a one-person development studio in Poland, has released a free demo of the first-person stealth action game ‘PROCEDURE ZERO’, currently under development, on the global PC platform Steam.
This demo was first unveiled on September 14 and offers approximately 25 minutes of gameplay and two initial missions that allow players to get a taste of the full game’s core fun. In particular, the developers plan to participate in Steam Next Fest, held from October 19 to 26, to expand their reach to global gamers.
According to information on the Steam store page, this title officially supports a Korean interface and subtitles for domestic users. The full version of ‘Procedure Zero,’ featuring immersive first-person stealth action, is scheduled to be released on November 12, 2026.
The prisoner ‘ZERO’ with no records and the conspiracy to erase him
‘Procedure Zero’ is a psychological horror-based stealth action game set in a bizarre prison that erases existence from documents instead of transporting people. Players take on the role of an auditor who discovers a mysterious second ledger during an internal audit, makes a copy, and suddenly wakes up in ‘C-17’ one day.
Instead of a name or criminal charges, only the word ‘ZERO’ is written in the prison record, and realizing that someone is trying to permanently erase his existence from official documents, he must escape the prison and track down the mastermind behind it.
The game is characterized by adding psychological pressure to standard stealth action. The Steam store page foreshadows its distinctive horror atmosphere with the chilling phrase, “Someone not on the official record is still knocking on the door.”
A unique ecosystem for survival under strict control has also been implemented. Inside the prison, cigarettes are the only currency, and all information necessary for an escape is priced highly.
The player must find clues to survival by trading with or confronting characters who hold their own desires and secrets, including Prisoner No. 214, ‘Suchy’ who manages the main gate, and ‘Kantor’ who oversees all supplies and communication passing through the main gate.
Avoid patrols and secure the information and prison area.
The key to gameplay is accurately tracking the guards’ patrol routes. Players must calculate the enemy’s line of sight and noise range to navigate through restricted areas, and use surrounding objects, such as turned-on radios or burning cardboard boxes, to distract the guards.
Sometimes, you can lure a prison guard into a specific space and lock him up, and it also includes the fun of collecting crucial evidence to uncover the conspiracy, such as lists, transfer logs, and notes hidden under the bed.
In particular, the official version introduces a system where players take control of one area within the prison each time they isolate a prison guard or successfully complete a deal with a character. Safe zones secured by the player are brightly marked on the map, while the remaining unexplored areas are shrouded in thick fog, maintaining the tension of exploration.
According to the Steam store page, this game aims for strictly non-lethal stealth without weapons. Running and focusing consume the character’s energy, and being detected by guards results in a penalty of having cigarettes, which serve as currency, confiscated.
However, being discovered does not immediately lead to a game over, providing a chance to try again, and sophisticated horror sequences that pressure the player’s psychology appear frequently, such as a perfectly fine bed suddenly becoming empty when the lights go out and then come back on.
The demo version heightens tension with a power outage in the second mission.
The demo begins with the scene where you arrive at Block C as an inmate not on the registry. You must find a hidden key, turn on the radio to lure the guard out of the guard post, and then move out of sight while the guard checks the sound.
In Area A, the setting for the second mission, a power outage occurs. The player has only a single flashlight, and is detected the moment the light hits a prison guard. After progressing to the scene where the player gives a cigarette and learns the password to the isolation cell, the demo ends at the point where someone knocks on the door.
Created by a solo developer in Poland… Guide on using AI-generated content also included
DELANIVO GAMES is a one-man studio where Polish developer Łukasz Twardowski handles planning, design, production, and distribution all by himself. In a press release, Twardowski stated that he wanted to create a prison where information is the most valuable resource, and that he envisioned a gameplay style where players gradually take over the prison by reading patrols and trading what they have.
According to the AI-generated content guide on the Steam page, pre-generation tools were used for character voices and sound effects, the opening scene, translations for languages other than Polish, and the creation of key art and logos. The developers explained that they personally selected and edited the results to apply them to the game, and that the AI does not generate new content during gameplay.
The game supports text in 23 languages. Korean is provided with an interface and subtitles, while full voice acting is available in six languages, including English, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, Polish, Brazilian Portuguese, and Russian.
