- A cooperative mystery set against the backdrop of a mysterious egg and a strange laboratory.
- Developer’s Wishlist Surpasses 30,000… Indie Co-op Game Set for October Release
Indie developer Rafoli has officially announced its new title , ‘CRACK’ . ‘CRACK’ is a cooperative incremental adventure game that can be enjoyed by up to four players.
Players must join forces to break a mysterious giant egg located in the center of the laboratory. ‘Crack’, which is garnering anticipation for its unique concept, will be officially available on Steam on October 26, 2026.
A giant egg placed in the laboratory, the mission is simply to “smash”
The game’s premise is simple and peculiar. Players must break eggs using tools provided in the laboratory, such as pickaxes, chisels, and dynamite. The game can be played with up to three companions, with roles divided among them.
One player peels the eggshells, while the other converts the collected shells into profit. They can also take on roles such as automating the production process or building platforms to reach the top of the egg. The core of the game is cooperative gameplay where players divide tasks to gradually break the egg.
The laboratory watching the egg, and the reaction the egg shows
The game goes beyond the simple task of breaking eggs; it also unravels the mystery surrounding the laboratory and the eggs’ true nature. It is not explained early on who built the laboratory or why the player is there. Players must find secret rooms, upgrade tools, and gather clues.
The laboratory manager issues instructions via announcements and recommends breaks. These bizarre situations create a strange yet humorous atmosphere. The eggs are also portrayed not merely as objects to be destroyed, but as entities that react to the player’s actions. In a sense, the process of breaking the eggs is connected to the game’s central mystery.
Upgrading while sharing the development process with the community
‘Crack’ is being produced by Rafoli, a developer and content creator. Rafoli has adopted an ‘open development’ approach, sharing the game development process on social media and incorporating the opinions and ideas of his followers into the development.
Rafoli said, “The game started with a joke about a giant egg that no one questioned,” adding, “We built it little by little, like working in shifts, while everyone watched. Honestly, the development process was the most enjoyable.” He then asked for ideas for the next content to be sent in the comments.
Developer’s Wishlist Surpasses 30,000
According to the developer’s own calculations, ‘Crack’ has surpassed 30,000 Steam wishlists since its release, and about 80 creators on TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, etc., have produced related videos.
The developer stated that the video has accumulated 8.9 million views. The official trailer and the developer’s own short-form video reportedly recorded 60,000 and 250,000 views, respectively.
The game is scheduled to be released on Steam on October 26, 2026, and Rafoli plans to continue sharing development updates through the aforementioned social networks until then.
It is still unknown why the giant egg is there. However, what is certain is that the mere act of watching the egg break is already attracting significant attention.
With the official release on October 26, it is expected that we will be able to see what is inside the egg and what answer this cooperative mystery will offer players.
