    ONE Store Expands Support for Indie Developers with Enhanced ‘Beta Game Zone’ Program in 10th Year

    Korea’s leading native app marketplace, ONE Store (CEO Park Tae-young), has announced a major expansion of its “Beta Game Zone” program in celebration of its 10th anniversary, with enhanced benefits aimed at supporting small and mid-sized game developers.

    🔹 Enhanced Rewards for Beta Games

    Starting this year, games selected as Outstanding Beta Games will receive up to KRW 20 million (~USD 15,000) worth of SingleTap™ ad service upon official release. If paired with ONE Store’s monetization platform, ONE AdMax, an additional KRW 10 million (~USD 7,500) in advertising credits will be granted—bringing the total ad support up to KRW 30 million.

    SingleTap™ is a proprietary advertising solution that allows users to install apps directly with one click, bypassing the traditional app store navigation. This streamlined UX significantly reduces user drop-off and boosts install conversion rates.

    ONE AdMax, ONE Store’s Supply-Side Platform (SSP), helps developers maximize advertising revenue across their game titles.

    Selected beta games will also receive in-app marketing support, including dedicated features in ONE Store’s Game Magazine, which spotlights recommended games.

    🔹 A Decade of Beta Game Support

    Since its launch in 2016, Beta Game Zone has supported 325 developers and facilitated beta tests for 453 titles, generating over 580,000 downloads. The platform has been instrumental in the early success of games such as MIR4 (Wemade) and GwiHon M (MGAME), allowing developers to gather user feedback and refine gameplay before launch.

    CEO Park Tae-young commented,

    “Beta Game Zone has grown beyond just a testing space—it’s become an incubator where developers can interact with users to improve their games. We will continue to support small developers with the tools they need to launch and succeed in the market.”

    🔹 Strategic Platform for Indie Developers

    In addition to Beta Game Zone, ONE Store operates a dedicated “Indie Game Zone” program, which has showcased 366 indie titles since 2016, contributing to a more sustainable indie game ecosystem.

    Professor Jung Musik of Gachon University (Dept. of Game & Visual Design), a respected voice in Korea’s indie development scene, remarked:

    “ONE Store has built a strong paying user base—especially among male gamers in their 30s and 40s—thanks to its reward systems and discount coupons. For idle RPGs or games targeting mature audiences, launching first on ONE Store could be a strategic choice.”

    He added:

    “Unlike major stores where soft-launch is often skipped, ONE Store’s Beta Game Zone provides valuable insights and critical issue analysis—helping developers avoid game-breaking problems post-launch.”
