Two-Word (CEO Shin Bo-shik), an indie game developer consisting of five developers, is an idle RPG that uses the original IP of ‘From the last soldier to the monarch’, which recorded more than 11 million views on Naver series, Munpia, etc. Until the monarch – Raising the monarch’ was released on Google Play on December 15th.
The game tells the story of a protagonist who lost his arm 24 years ago and was living a hard life as a mercenary, reincarnated by chance and changed history using the experiences and skills he had learned so far. Webtoons are currently being serialized on Kakao Page and Naver series.
Unlike other idle games in which the main character becomes a Munchkin alone, ‘From the last soldier to the monarch’ was developed as a hero-collecting party idle RPG that gathers colleagues to form a party of 8. The game is a system that can grow even if left alone, but it is equipped with various elements that can make a stronger army by studying position placement, weapon compatibility, and different growth curves for each class.
Gamers can recruit not only the main character’s precious companions in the original story, but also hostile heroes as companions. 64 types of heroes and 75 types of weapons are prepared, and through dungeons and dispatch, users without a fee can collect heroes and weapons.
The development team said, “We tried hard to make a game that has a sense of achievement as much as we have worked hard, a fun game that grows steadily step by step, and a fun game that collects various heroes and weapons.”
The combat is characterized by a simple yet colorful direction, cutscenes reminiscent of webtoons and speech bubbles, so that even if left unattended, it is not bored.
