Xsolla, a global payment solution company, has been sponsoring Indiecraft for the fourth year in an effort to lay a foothold for the growth of a Korean indie game developer.
Xsolla announced on the 24th that it will sponsor ‘2022 Indiecraft Online Virtual Game Show The FESTA’ hosted by Seongnam City from the 26th to the 29th and co-hosted by the Seongnam Industry Promotion Agency and the Korea Mobile Game Association for 4 consecutive years.
Xsolla, which is headquartered in Los Angeles, USA, mainly provides global payment solutions, and provides optimized services and solutions for game companies to directly publish globally. In particular, it has established itself as an industry leader in payment solutions for mobile games, and is collaborating with a number of game companies such as Valve, Twitch, Roblox, Ubisoft, and Wemade.
In particular, indie game companies participating in Indiecraft need to pay attention to ‘Webshop Solution’, one of Xsolla’s new solutions. This is because it is a solution that supports the entire process of a mobile game developer creating a store and selling items on their website. Compared to in-app payment, operating costs can be greatly reduced, and user payment information is also advantageous in that the developer can retain it.
Next, Xsolla will provide the top 50 participating developers with the right to use various solutions that can expand game sales, including $25,000 worth of partner network access. After August, the top developer selected through the ‘Indiecraft Awards (tentative name)’ will be given a prize of $10,000 in prize money to serve as a strong support for small and medium-sized game companies to advance into the global market and develop themselves.
Lee Joo-chan, the branch manager, said, “The Korean game market must develop and grow in order for Xsol to grow together. For this, it is most important to continuously discover indie games with high growth potential.” He said, “This year, we will not only participate in virtual game shows, but also meet and communicate directly with indie game companies through mentoring programs within Indiecraft. It is,” he said.
Chairman Hwang Seong-ik said, “I am grateful to Xsolla, who has been with me for a long time not only for Indiecraft, but also for small and medium-sized game developers in Korea. We hope that this Indiecraft will serve as an opportunity to contribute to the birth of an outstanding global indie game developer.”
Meanwhile, the indie game show ‘2022 Indiecraft The FESTA’ will be held 24 hours a day from the 26th to the 29th. Participants can use their avatars to explore 5 game worlds and check the game contents of TOP 50 developers, and the metaverse world with mini-games based on K-dramas such as ‘Now Our School’ and ‘Squid Game’. can enjoy
