Chungnam Content Promotion Agency (Director Kim Gok-mi) announced on the 3rd that the first period of the ‘Chungnam Global Game Center Indie Game Park Incubating Project’ has ended, and that the development teams that participated in the project have achieved tangible results through domestic and international exhibitions, awards in contests, and global tests.

A total of 14 teams, including aspiring entrepreneurs and early-stage startups, participated in this project. The participating projects spanned a wide range of platforms, including PC, mobile, console, and VR, and encompassed a wide range of genres, including roguelike, RPG, action, strategy, puzzle, simulation, and multiplayer. Many of the teams were comprised of young developers aiming for their first release, demonstrating the program’s significance in fostering creative talent and laying the foundation for commercialization.
During the project period, the participating team actively participated in major domestic and international gaming events to gauge market response. They exhibited demos and showcased their work at events such as PlayXpo, Busan Indie Connect Festival, G-Star, and Gamescom Asia x Thailand Game Show. Through user feedback and publisher meetings, they also assessed the game’s completeness before launch and analyzed the target customer base.
The market validation process involved conducting global tests. Wonderdeck and Elemental Soul established controls and difficulty metrics through overseas user testing. Space Revolver conducted an Open Player Test (OPT) with over 150 global users to analyze preferences and gameplay flow by target user group. The data obtained will be used to supplement pre-launch content and establish service strategies.
The Chungnam Content Agency has established a hands-on support system. This includes providing a development lab in the annex of the Chungnam Global Game Center and monthly development and maintenance support, expert mentoring, support for partner-based advancements in graphics, sound, QA, and translation, and entrepreneurship and marketing training. Teams also participated in training at the Tokyo Game Show in Japan, conducting local market research, consulting with publishers, and analyzing global user experiences, laying the foundation for overseas expansion.
The performance evaluation was conducted last October. Criteria for evaluation included completeness, gameplay, genre interpretation, market responsiveness, and the use of exhibition and feedback. M.K. Studio’s “Space Revolver” won the grand prize. Hardcoders’ “SEMO” and Alpha3’s “The T” received the grand prize, while Blossom Games, Mook, and Project Nook received the excellence awards.
Based on this achievement, Chungnam Content Agency plans to continue operating the Indie Game Park incubation project in 2026 and expand the project by strengthening follow-up programs such as participation in global game shows, support for platform testing, connection with overseas publisher networks, and support for startups and investments.
Kim Je-gon, head of the Chungnam Content Promotion Agency, said, “Through this incubation program, the participating teams were able to further strengthen their project completion and business strategies based on expert mentoring and global market experience.” He added, “We will continue to establish a support system so that development teams can continue to start businesses and grow in the Chungnam region.”
