    Smilegate is recruiting participating teams for the ‘Stove Indie Creator Growth Tutorial’ in July

    ■ Providing solutions for indie game creators about to launch and go live
    ■ Consisting of practical practical training and networking sessions, recruitment is open until the 7th of this month

    Smilegate announced on the 3rd (Wednesday) that it is recruiting teams to participate in July for the ‘Stove Indie Creator Growth Tutorial’, a workshop program that supports indie game creators to grow. The subject area of the July workshop is ‘Game Development’, and the curriculum level is Lv. It progresses to 3.

    Last February, Smilegate launched the ‘Stove Indie Creator Growth Tutorial’ to support indie game creators according to their growth stage. The ‘Creator Growth Tutorial’ alternates between the ‘Game Development’ and ‘Entrepreneurship’ areas and consists of practical content that can be used in practice through lectures, training, and sharing with other creators. You can choose from three levels of curriculum according to your/team’s growth stage and not only solve your concerns about development and entrepreneurship but also have the opportunity to interact with indie creators.

    Over 300 creators participated in the creator growth tutorial, which held over six sessions until the workshop last June. The reviews were filled with positive comments such as ‘This process opened up and was helpful’, ‘Thank you for providing realistic and specific information’, and ‘It was good to be able to intuitively understand game entrepreneurship’, and a survey asking whether they would recommend it to other creators. The response is ‘yes’, which is a high level of satisfaction, reaching almost 100%.

    The first special session, ‘Level Up Day,’ was held in June. This session, which was also a networking event, provided consultation and mentoring related to game industry support projects in conjunction with the Gyeonggi Content Agency. ‘Level Up Day was a success, with about 70 developers participating.

    The July workshop will be held at Bundang First Tower on Thursday, the 18th. If you are a creative team reviewing the game with your team for the last time before release, you can apply by submitting a build or plan for the game you are developing. The recruitment period is until the 7th (Sunday).
