- A game made by two people makes it to Steam Top 5… A promising sign for the success of a debut title completed in just one year.
- 98% positive out of 5,306 Steam reviews… Recorded 17,599 peak concurrent users
The indie game ‘IRON NEST’ is receiving an enthusiastic response, with over 300,000 users playing the game since its first weekend of release.
The development team revealed the results of the first weekend, stating that more than 300,000 Operators have been deployed to the game so far, and that 98% of the 5,306 Steam user reviews were rated ‘Overwhelmingly Positive’.
The number of concurrent users also remained at a high level. ‘Iron Nest’ recorded a peak of 17,599 concurrent users after its release and has consistently maintained a top 5 ranking in Steam’s best-selling products to this day.
About a year until release… Completed virtually as a one-person development
What makes this achievement even more noteworthy is that ‘Iron Nest’ was essentially developed by a single person.
With the entire development team consisting of only two people, the actual game development was primarily handled by a single developer. They completed the game and proceeded to an official release approximately one year after starting development.
Despite being the work of a small team, it has achieved remarkable success in the indie game market by securing over 300,000 users immediately after release, recording a high positive rating of 98%, and a peak concurrent user count of over 17,000.
The development team conveyed this achievement in a lighthearted manner by utilizing their signature ‘High Command’ military operation concept. They revealed that after successfully completing a large-scale operation, they were recommended to take a vacation, but after reviewing the offer, they declined and immediately approved the post-launch roadmap.
Post-Launch Roadmap Announced… Developers Say “It’s Just the Beginning”
Development of ‘Iron Nest’ will not end with the official release, but rather the game is planned to be expanded through continuous updates.
The development team revealed the post-launch roadmap through this announcement, indicating plans to continue providing new content and updates.

In particular, given the high level of interest it has garnered since its launch, user feedback is expected to have a significant impact on the direction of future updates.
The development team stated, “We have already delivered game keys to select media outlets and content creators,” and requested that they play the game and experience the title firsthand. Their stance is that they hope users will enjoy the game as actual players and check user reactions directly, regardless of whether they write a review.
They also expressed their intention to actively communicate with users, asking them to convey their thoughts and opinions to the development team after playing the game.
‘Iron Nest’, which attracted over 300,000 users from its first weekend of release, is continuing its smooth start with high user ratings and records for concurrent users.
This achievement is particularly noteworthy given that it was completed in about a year by a company consisting of only two people, in a manner that is practically one-person development.
Having rapidly secured a user base immediately after launch, attention is focused on what content will be added through future updates and how long the current high level of interest can be sustained.
