Smilegate, leading the expansion of the domestic indie game market, is recruiting indie game creators to participate in ‘Burning Beaver 2022’, the largest indie game festival in Seoul.
Burning Beaver is more than just a showcase, it is an online/offline hybrid indie game festival featuring the passion, challenge, and experimental spirit of indie game creators. It will be held on the main street of Garosu-gil from December 16 (Fri) to 18 (Sun) this year, and will also be exhibited online through the stove from December 16 (Fri) to January 15 (Sun).
Any indie game developer/team can apply for the event (currently under development or released after August 1, 2021 as of the initial market release date), and publishers who have not participated in development cannot participate.
Entries will be registered in the Stove Indy online exhibition hall when the build is submitted (a demo version for PC must be submitted for mobile games). The build submitted at the time of submission will be used for review and can be replaced with the latest version after being selected. Multiple games can be submitted by one team.
Smilegate provides the exhibition booth participation fee free of charge for indie game developers/teams that have submitted entries to ‘Burning Beaver’. In addition, a private lounge for the creators’ network and rest space will be provided, and admission tickets to all exhibition teams and two additional invitation tickets per team will be provided.
In addition, various peripheral devices and facilities such as monitors and keyboards required for the exhibition are also provided, and the offline booth exhibition team is provided with a room for 3 nights (one for the team leader), as well as lunch and snacks. In addition, it is expected to provide a business meeting opportunity to meet various game industry officials such as publishers and user feedback through an online exhibition hall.
Applications for the game booth disaster for this ‘Burning Beaver 2022’ event will be accepted until October 23 (R). More detailed information can be found on the guide page and through the inquiry channel , and also on the Burning Beaver website .
