Japan’s Asahi TV announced on the 27th that ‘The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild’ took first place in ‘Japanese’ Favorite Game’, which was conducted for more than 50,000 Koreans.
Asahi TV’s ’50k people’s value vote! In the ‘TV Game General Election’, a total of 100 popular games were selected by voting for a total of more than 50,000 natives. As a result of the voting results, ‘The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild’ took first place, ‘Dragon Quest 5: The Bride of the Sky’ took 2nd place, and ‘Final Fantasy VII’ took 3rd place respectively.
What is noteworthy in this vote is that all popular games from 1st to 10th were counted as games released by Nintendo and Square Enix, allowing us to feel the power of the IP brand of the two companies. Aside from the two companies, Konami’s ‘Metal Gear Solid 3’ took 18th place, Bandai Namco’s ‘Dark Souls 3’ took 39th, and Sega’s ‘Persona 5’ took 42nd, respectively.
In addition, in the case of overseas games, Toby Fox’s ‘Undertale’ ranked 13th, and Microsoft’s ‘Minecraft’ ranked 20th. Unfortunately, no Korean game was found on the top 100 popular games in this poll.
