Smilegate has announced that two of its highly anticipated indie titles, Saniyang Lab and Sixtar Gate: Stargazer (hereafter Stargazer), will participate in Steam Next Fest 2025, taking place from Tuesday, June 10 to Tuesday, June 17.

Steam Next Fest is one of the largest global online gaming events, held three times a year by the world’s biggest PC platform, Steam. The event showcases playable demos of upcoming titles to a global audience, fostering feedback and engagement through live broadcasts and developer interaction. This year’s festival features hundreds of demo titles made available for one week.
Smilegate will be unveiling free demos of both Saniyang Lab and Stargazer to global players via Steam. These titles have already gained significant attention across local and international indie communities.
■ Saniyang Lab — A Mystery-Fueled Romance in a World of Beastfolk
Saniyang Lab is a romance simulation game set in a mysterious world inhabited by anthropomorphic characters. Players awaken in an unknown laboratory and uncover its secrets while forming relationships with a diverse cast. The game includes over 21 unique characters, three main heroines, full-voice routes, a branching multi-ending system, and immersive visuals and music.
The demo allows players to explore the beginning of Act 2, featuring initial encounters with the main heroines and a hands-on experience with the student research lab system.
■ Stargazer — A Fresh Spin-Off of the Beloved Rhythm Series
Stargazer is a spin-off of the popular rhythm game Sixtar Gate: Startrail. It delivers an intuitive 4-lane rhythm gameplay system featuring band-style arrangements of original tracks. With a new storyline and simplified controls, Stargazer is accessible to newcomers while offering depth for existing fans. The demo features a curated selection of original tracks and a sneak peek at key content from the full release.
Through its participation in Steam Next Fest, Smilegate aims to strengthen its indie publishing presence and expand its reach among global players.
