Neowiz (Co-CEOs Seungchul Kim and Taegeun Bae) announced on the 23rd that it will participate in China’s offline game event ‘G-Fusion Game Fest 2025’.
The event, hosted by China’s leading game and subculture media platform ‘GCORES’, will be held on June 28th and 29th at the Shougang Exhibition Hall in Beijing, China.
NEOWIZ will set up a booth for the indie game contest ‘NEOWIZ QUEST’ that it operates and meet with local Chinese visitors. This is a strategic move to strengthen the brand awareness of ‘NEOWIZ QUEST’ in the Chinese market and to publicize NEOWIZ’s global publishing capabilities.
At this event, Neowiz will showcase three unique indie games. Attendees will be able to play the games themselves at the game demonstration booths, and also learn about Neowiz’s growth as a global publisher and the ‘Neowiz Quest’ contest.
The participating games are ▲’Hello Seoul: Itaewon’, a story-based puzzle platformer set in a post-apocalyptic world, ▲’Kill the Shadow’, a tense detective puzzle game told from the perspective of detective Lucas, and ▲’Shape of Dreams’, an action game that combines the MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) control system and the roguelike genre.
There will also be a ‘Lottery Event’ for visitors. If you register all three indie games on display to your Steam Wishlist or play at least one game on-site, you will receive a lottery ticket. Lottery winners will randomly receive one of the game’s goods, such as stickers, key rings, or fans.
Neowiz also announced that China’s ‘COREBLAZER’ was selected as the global strategic partner for ‘Neowiz Quest’. ‘COREBLAZER’ is a game support brand established by Chinese game developer ‘HYPERGRYPH’, well known for the mobile game ‘Arknights’, and encourages and supports the creative activities of excellent development teams.
‘Core Blazer’ will participate in the judging of the ‘Neowiz Quest Top 10 Development Pitching Program’ to be held early next year, and will separately operate the ‘Core Blazer Award’ for indie games participating in ‘Neowiz Quest’. In addition, the two companies will also provide consulting for Korean indie developers who wish to enter the Chinese market.
In addition, ‘Neowiz Quest’ plans to participate in ‘COREBLAZER Game Fest 2025’ held by ‘Core Blazer’ in Shanghai, China in July. This is a large-scale offline event to encourage creation and exchange among game developers, and is considered a representative event in the Chinese indie game ecosystem.
A Neowiz official said, “Through our participation in this ‘G Fusion Game Fest,’ we will further increase the awareness of the Neowiz and ‘Neowiz Quest’ brands in China,” and “Going forward, we will continue to build long-term cooperative relationships with ‘Core Blazer’ in various fields such as game publishing, investment, and Sino-Korean game exchanges.”
A Core Blazer official said, “We are very pleased to have become a global strategic partner for ‘Neowiz Quest,’” and “We will continue to discover and support games with Neowiz so that indie games with potential can advance into the broader global market.”
