Gyeonggi Province announced on the 24th that it will recruit trainees for the ‘2022 Gyeonggi Metaverse Academy’ basic course by the 3rd of next month to foster metaverse professionals.
The academy project, which is being promoted this year, is operated as a curriculum that covers all areas from planning, development, design, and distribution to nurture metaverse platform and content developers. The basic course, operated for three months in the first half of this year, is for beginners and intermediate developers, and in the second half of this year, an in-depth course for professional developers is planned.
In this recruitment, a total of 25 students for the basic course are selected. Selected trainees can participate in the training at the Gyeonggi VRAR Production Base Center located in Gwanggyo without any additional training costs, and receive a total of 100 hours of training, including online lectures.
The education contents include ▲Metaverse industry general education (understanding the characteristics of the Metaverse industry and exploring comparisons by platform) ▲Metaverse platform-based content production ▲Realistic technology (VR·AR·XR) content creation tool (engine·tool) Unity )-oriented programming and three-dimensional modeling (3D modeling) graphic education, planning and production of project performance data book (project portfolio), and expert mentoring and special lectures.
Students who have completed the training will be issued a certificate of completion and a Unity education certification certificate, which is a production tool (engine/tool). In addition, it is preparing to connect graduates with demanding companies through a job-startup linkage program.
Anyone who is currently a citizen of Gyeonggi-do, a graduate of a high school or university in Gyeonggi-do, or incumbent at a company located in Gyeonggi-do can apply.
