- 2,064 cumulative reviews on Steam, 92% positive rating on Steam

Dungeon Clawer is an unconventional strategy game that combines arcade sensibilities with roguelike deck-building, featuring the unique element of a claw machine at the forefront. The high degree of freedom created by 8 types of claws, over 120 items, and various perk combinations, combined with a tension-filled ‘grabbing’ system, offers a distinctive gameplay style and excellent addictiveness.
To celebrate the launch, the development team is offering discounts on most platforms until May 15, including $14.99 on Steam (35% off), $14.99 on consoles (10% off), and $6.99 on mobile (20% off Android). User anticipation is also noteworthy, as the game maintains a ‘Very Positive’ rating with 92% of its 2,064 cumulative reviews on Steam being positive.
Use the Claw Machine to recover the rabbit’s foot stolen by the evil Dungeon Lord.
The game starts with a lighthearted premise in which the protagonist, whose rabbit’s foot was stolen by an evil dungeon lord, embarks on an adventure to retrieve it. Using a rusty iron claw instead of his lost foot, the protagonist descends deep into the dungeon and confronts enemies along the way. The key weapon utilized in this process is none other than a ‘claw machine.’
Dungeon Clawer is a unique roguelike game that combines arcade vibes with strategic depth. Instead of the typical card drawing or item drop system, you must prepare for battle by personally snatching up weapons and items using retro claw machines. The tension felt in arcades serves as a core strategic element, and the game is structured so that you build a deck based on the equipment you acquire to continue fighting.
8 types of claws, 26 types of characters, and over 120 items infinite build crafting
A total of eight types of claws appear in the game, and each claw changes the play style itself due to the different way it picks up items. In particular, various builds can be constructed by combining over 120 items and 85 types of passive perks, allowing you to face over 40 types of enemies and 17 types of bosses.
Throughout the dungeon, you can explore mysterious places and meet various companions, and you can also test your luck at pachinko machines to aim for rewards. Unique content is also provided, such as obtaining a knit sweater with a unique perk by visiting a grandmother.
During the Early Access period, the game underwent seven major updates, including the ‘Fire Update’, ‘Lucky Collectors Update’, and ‘Pets & Friends Update’, raising its level of completeness to its current state.
1.0 Update: New Character, Boss, and Daily Challenge Added All at Once
With the official release of version 1.0, a large amount of new content has been added. New characters Spinarosa and Captain Cony, as well as a secret character, have been introduced. Propeller Claw and new bosses (Giant Slime, Mama Creampuff, and Smelto) have also been added. In addition, a Daily Challenge mode has been introduced, allowing players to play under different conditions every day, enhancing the fun of replayability.
Media reaction to the game has been positive. COGconnected described it as a “notable roguelike with an original concept and rich content,” while Gamezebo praised its polish, calling it a “witty and clever game.” Additionally, Archynewsy introduced it as an “addictive title that transforms the frustration of claw machines into strategic elements.”
The development team’s fifth game, which started with a trip to Tokyo arcades
Dungeon Clawer began Early Access on November 21, 2024, and reached its official 1.0 release after 1 year and 5 months of collaboration with the community. Co-founder Micha says that a small side project started out of a love for roguelikes and inspiration from the colorful claw machines he encountered during a trip to Tokyo has grown into Stray Fawn Studio’s fifth self-developed game.
