G-STAR 2025 Unveils Detailed Event Schedule, Featuring Indie Showcase 2.0: Galaxy and G-CON 2025

    By Editorial Team2025년 10월 22일Updated:2025년 11월 21일3 Mins Read

The G-STAR Organizing Committee (Chairman: Cho Young-ki) has announced the detailed schedule for “G-STAR 2025”, including highlights such as Indie Showcase 2.0: Galaxy, the G-CON 2025 Conference, and key BTC exhibitors at BEXCO’s Exhibition Hall 2 in Busan.

Under the theme “Expand Your Horizons,” this year’s G-STAR aims to go beyond a traditional trade show, transforming into an immersive global festival where creators, industry professionals, and gamers participate together. The event will strengthen support for indie creators, global cooperation, and industry insight-sharing through conferences and interactive experiences.

Major BTC Exhibitors at BEXCO Hall 2

The BTC zone in Hall 2 will feature major global developers who are also participating as G-CON speakers. Notable exhibitors include Warhorse Studios from the Czech Republic, showcasing Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, SEGA/ATLUS, recently ranked No.1 in Metacritic’s 2025 Game Publisher Rankings with hits like Persona and Metaphor: ReFantazio, and Bandai Namco Entertainment, celebrating the Ace Combat series’ 30th anniversary with a special booth.

Unity will also join as a partner of the Indie Showcase 2.0: Galaxy, spotlighting globally unique titles developed on its platform. Another global AAA publisher—name yet to be revealed—is preparing an interactive exhibition featuring hands-on experiences, eSports events, and live stage programs.

Detailed floor plans and exhibitor lists will be available on the official G-STAR website later this month.

Indie Showcase 2.0: Galaxy — Expanding Global Partnerships

Building on last year’s success, Indie Showcase 2.0: Galaxy returns with an expanded scale and content diversity, emphasizing creator-driven experiences and cross-border collaboration.

Steam Deck (distributed by Komodo) will return as a key partner, alongside new global collaborators that will host interactive indie game showcases and networking sessions for developers and players.

“Indie content is not just a side program—it’s now one of G-STAR’s core pillars,” said a G-STAR Organizing Committee representative. “Through global partnerships, we aim to create an ecosystem where indie developers can achieve real results.”

    G-CON 2025 — A Narrative-Driven Global Conference

The G-CON 2025 conference returns with a renewed narrative format, exploring the essence of games as a storytelling medium that bridges emotion, art, and technology.

The two-day program is divided into two thematic axes:

    • Day 1: The Language of Emotion and Direction — featuring sessions on game narrative design, music composition, visual storytelling, and emotional system design. Creators will discuss how music, visuals, and interaction create immersive experiences that transcend traditional media.
    • Day 2: The Structure of Worlds and Philosophy — focusing on worldbuilding, narrative depth, and philosophical dimensions across genres—from classic RPG traditions to modern AAA storytelling. Experts will explore the interplay of art, technology, and narrative systems that define today’s most ambitious titles.

“G-CON 2025 will go beyond lectures—it’s a stage to experience the creative power and worlds that games bring to life,” the committee said. “We aim to position G-CON as a next-generation global conference where art, industry, and technology converge.”

The full session schedule will be available on the official G-STAR website soon.

A Unified Festival of Creation, Industry, and Players

G-STAR 2025 integrates all its main content areas—BTB, BTC, G-CON, and Indie Showcase 2.0: Galaxy—into a single, cohesive platform connecting creators, businesses, and audiences.

“This year’s G-STAR will be more than an exhibition—it’s an immersive cultural experience celebrating the artistic and creative evolution of games,” said the Organizing Committee. “From indie projects to global IPs, every visitor will be part of a living narrative.”

G-STAR 2025 will be held from November 13 (Thursday) to November 16 (Sunday) across the entire BEXCO venue in Busan, with NCSoft as the main sponsor and participation from major global partners promising the most diverse lineup yet.
