Smilegate Future Lab (hereinafter referred to as ‘Future Lab’) announced on the 20th (Thursday) that it is recruiting the 15th Smilegate Membership (hereinafter referred to as ‘SGM’) in the indie game division.
The recruitment of the 15th class of SGM Indie Game Division is aimed at young creative teams with more than one person who is developing games and teams who want to improve the completeness of game production projects. Creators who wish to apply can apply through the Future Lab website by midnight on Tuesday, May 9th.
If selected for the 15th SGM Indie Game Division class, they can receive systematic support from Future Lab. You will receive various benefits, from space support, where you can focus on game development, creative support, and user feedback demonstrations. In addition, during the Indie Game Festival 2023 Burning Beaver, you can exhibit your game. In addition, you can have networking time with indie game creators, such as senior developers from SGM.
Meanwhile, SGM is a representative creative support program of Smilegate, which has been in progress since 2010. SGM supports creators in various ways, such as creative subsidy, development space, and mentoring, so that they can focus on their projects. In the meantime, SGM has produced outstanding indie game development teams such as Awesome Peace, Team Tapas, and Kassel Games.
“SGM has been providing a lot of support so that they can focus on creative activities based on support and respect for creators,” said Sook-Hyeon Oh, head of Future Lab. In particular, we are forming a cohesive network based on the SGM alumni community.”
