- Korean Developer ‘IggyMob’ to be Unveiled at Xbox Partner Preview 2026
- 2027 Release for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, Simultaneous Game Pass Support
IGGYMOB, a Korean console game developer headquartered in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, unveiled its new title ‘MOOSA: Dirty Fate’ as a world premiere at the Xbox Partner Preview Showcase on March 26.
‘Musa: Dirty Fate’ is a dark fantasy action game set in 17th-century Joseon. The protagonist is a warrior seeking revenge named ‘Geon,’ and the story follows his battle against monsters disguised as humans and the forces that follow them. The game is scheduled to be released in 2027 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
17th-century Joseon turned into hell, the warrior ‘Geon’s’ revenge begins.
‘MOOSA’ refers to one who has mastered martial arts and chosen that path. The game features warriors with different ambitions and beliefs, and their choices lead to a blood-stained destiny.
The work is set in 17th-century Joseon. It was an era when extreme weather events, famines, and epidemics were rampant worldwide under the influence of the Little Ice Age, and Joseon was no exception. It was such an extreme time that actual historical records even contain a sentence stating that “people ate people.”
Against this historical backdrop, the player takes on the role of ‘Geon,’ a vengeful warrior who has lost everything, fighting against monsters disguised as humans and their followers while tracking down the truth behind the legendary creature, the Imugi.
From the majestic mountains and rivers of the Joseon Dynasty, to the once-flourishing capital and centers of power, and even the famine-ravaged slums and dark back alleys, each region featured in the game embodies a distinct atmosphere, combat structure, and narrative, foreshadowing a multi-dimensional gameplay experience.
Three-dimensional combat perfected with two weapons: sword and bow
From large-scale battles against swarming enemies and tense boss fights against giant monsters from traditional Korean folklore, to stylish duels with skilled warriors, ‘Musa: Dirty Fate’ boasts a diverse and dense combat system.
In particular, the use of the bow is considered a key differentiating factor of the game. It is designed to allow players to change the flow of the battlefield by strategically utilizing the bow, a weapon the Korean people have wielded with proficiency since ancient times. A key feature is the implementation of a more dynamic combat style by combining the close-range sword with the long-range bow.
The story unfolds naturally through combat and exploration. The game’s narrative develops as the truth is gradually revealed through fragments of conversations between characters, records left throughout the battlefield, and the backstories of fallen enemies.
Bringing Korean history and folklore to the world… Xbox Game Pass · Play Anything
‘Musa: Dirty Fate’ is available on Xbox Game Pass at launch, as an Xbox Play Anywhere title, and also supports Xbox Cloud.
Overseas media outlets are also paying attention to this title. It is being evaluated as having a distinct appeal, given that games set in Korea are relatively rare compared to those set in Japan or China. The heavy combat sequences and bow-based combat system revealed in the trailer are also cited as anticipated elements, with reactions such as “the Korean-style painterly scenery and sophisticated third-person combat are impressive.”
Meanwhile, some community users are expressing anticipation for the release of additional information regarding the actual gameplay feel and content completeness, creating an overall atmosphere of both expectation and curiosity.
