Delicious Games’ Cross-Game Growth System Links Gacha RPG and Zombie Survival in Multiverse Model

서로 다른 세계관을 가진 두 게임을 하나의 성장 시스템으로 연결한 독창적 시도
    By Editorial Team2026년 07월 25일Updated:2026년 07월 28일5 Mins Read

Delicious Games (CEO Lee Hyun-jin), a Bucheon-based mobile game developer with more than a decade of experience, has announced that its multiverse project linking existing title PMC (Ppob-man-chu — Idle Gacha Machine RPG) and new release ZWR (Jom-wae-jin — zombie apocalypse idle RPG) has moved past its initial stabilization phase and into sustainable growth.

The project’s core premise is straightforward to describe but less common in practice: rather than sharing accounts between two separate games, PMC and ZWR connect players’ growth experience and asset value across titles. Progress in one game carries meaningful value into the other, creating continuity that bridges the typically hard reset of moving between games in a studio’s catalog.

The cross-game progression system is distinctive enough that Delicious Games has filed a patent application covering its implementation.

    The Design Logic

Idle RPGs depend on long-term progression investment as their primary retention mechanism. Players accumulate power, resources, and time investment over months; when a studio releases a new game, that investment is typically abandoned entirely for the new title, or players must choose between maintaining their position in the old game and investing in the new one.

Delicious Games is testing whether cross-game progression continuity addresses this problem. If the growth accumulated in PMC‘s gacha machine fantasy world transfers meaningful value into ZWR‘s zombie apocalypse setting — and vice versa — the studio is competing for a player’s ongoing engagement rather than cycling them between disposable title relationships.

The patent application signals that the studio considers this cross-game progression architecture to be a genuinely novel technical and design implementation rather than a standard feature. The specific mechanism — how growth experience and asset value are defined, quantified, and transferred across games with different world settings and progression systems — is apparently the protectable intellectual property. Two games that share an account login is a common feature; two games that share meaningful progression value in a way that works across fundamentally different game contexts is the claim the patent is making.

The two games’ contrasting aesthetics (the casual, colorful gacha world of PMC versus the darker, tense zombie survival of ZWR) are a useful test case for cross-game progression: the linked system needs to function across genuinely different tonal contexts rather than only within a single consistent aesthetic universe. If the patent-pending implementation works here — carrying progression value between a lighthearted gacha RPG and a grim zombie survival game — it demonstrates the approach’s potential as a platform mechanism rather than just a shared-universe feature.

    The Initial Challenges

Delicious Games is candid about the early period: connection errors on some devices and operational difficulties in the initial rollout caused player satisfaction to decline. The reported recovery — improved return visit rates, content engagement, and revenue metrics following the server stabilization, bug fixes, and content improvements — reflects a development trajectory of working through launch friction rather than sustained quality problems.

The progression system has also been strengthened in recent updates, tightening the actual cross-game value transfer rather than maintaining it as a conceptual feature.

    The Broader Ambition

The studio’s stated direction positions the two games as the foundation of a platform rather than the entirety of the plan. Planned additions include new world settings within the multiverse, faction warfare content, and competitive and cooperative player interactions. External IP collaborations — including with webtoon and animation properties — are described as the expansion layer that would grow the multiverse beyond Delicious Games’ internally developed titles.

This trajectory mirrors what successful mobile gaming companies have done with universe-building: establish a core mechanic (the cross-game progression system), demonstrate it works within the studio’s own titles, then expand through IP partnerships that bring external audiences into the ecosystem. The patent application provides potential protection for this model as the studio scales it — if the cross-game progression architecture is defensible intellectual property, it could become a licensable platform capability rather than only a competitive advantage within Delicious Games’ own catalog.

Delicious Games’ existing experience with external IP — having developed the game adaptation of Naver Webtoon’s I Grow a Necromancer Alone — provides relevant production experience for the IP collaboration pathway the studio is describing.

Whether the multiverse model sustains as a long-term service differentiation — making players more likely to stay within the Delicious Games ecosystem than they would in a standard multi-title mobile catalog — is the commercial hypothesis that the reported metric improvements are beginning to validate. The idle RPG market’s structural challenge (high churn, low differentiation between titles) makes cross-game progression an interesting strategic bet if the execution delivers on the continuity promise. The patent filing suggests the studio is betting on that continuity becoming a defined and protectable technical approach rather than remaining a design philosophy.
