    In 1978 heavy metal group Judas Priest’s masterpiece “Before the Dawn”, you lead multiple survivors in medieval Europe, a world where people who died of plagues come to life as zombies. It is a survival strategy RPG genre game that aims to reach the holy land ‘The Sanctuary’.


    The core of the game is to strategically determine the optimal action among various options such as ‘battle, movement, and search’ using action power (AP) resources. , while securing supplies such as food and weapons, the mission for survival must be accomplished at the same time.

    [ Features of the game ]

    Before the Dawn proceeds in a ‘survival tactics’ method that combines infiltration and survival elements with a turn-based tactical system. The game consists of a combination of the concept of infiltration, where you have to collect materials secretly to avoid a large number of zombies, and the concept of survival, such as managing hunger/fatigue, in a traditional turn-based tactical system based on action power (AP) on a grid-based map. In addition, it provides a tactical challenge in which you have to squeeze out every possible way to survive among the zombies that appear on a large scale, providing gamers with the fun of high-difficulty strategies.

    Gamers must lead ordinary survivors of the Western Middle Ages, such as hunters, clowns, monks, and nuns, to understand their strengths and weaknesses, and to contemplate growth through various combinations. The collected weapons and tools must be used according to the characteristics of each character, and they must respond to the increasing difficulty by utilizing the ‘privileges’ newly acquired as the character grows. (Growth factor is currently under development)

    In addition, a combat system focused on fighting cold weapons such as swords, spears, bows, and pottery, and a survival environment such as diet and tools suitable for the historical atmosphere of the times were built, and medieval elements such as religion and status were introduced into the game system through future updates. Therefore, it will have a great influence on the values and relationships of the characters.

    [How to play the game]

    At the start of the game, the gamer must escape from a village full of zombies called ‘Reverse Demons’.

    The game world is composed of a grid-based like chess, and every time you move a square, action power (AP) is consumed. When all characters have exhausted their action powers, as the turn passes and 1 hour in the game passes, survival values such as ‘satiation’ and ‘vitality’ of all characters decrease.

    In order to achieve the main goal (escape the village), you must perform a mission, and inevitably, battles and regressions are fought in order to search for materials such as materials and weapons needed to perform the mission, and food to manage survival values.

    All reverse demons have the concept of ‘looking direction (arrow)’ and field of view, and when an ally character enters within the enemy’s field of view, the enemy recognizes the ally and approaches the character. Gamers must understand the current collection of materials, character abilities, and map object arrangement, and then decide whether to secretly collect necessary materials to avoid retrogression and leave, or whether to take a bold approach and fight.

    Each weapon has distinct characteristics, and various auxiliary consumables (throwing daggers, Molotov cocktails, installed defense walls, etc.)

    In the game, as time goes by, the number of evil spirits that appear increases and the characters suffer penalties such as hunger and fatigue.

    The experience version ends when you successfully escape while surviving as many characters as possible by using elements such as collecting materials that take into account the strength/agility/intelligence of the characters and their weight.
