Megazone Cloud, a cloud-specialized company, announced on the 3rd that it has signed a four-party business agreement with Yeonseong University, Korea Mobile Game Association, and Tencent Cloud to foster human resources for the cloud-based mobile game industry.

With this agreement, Megazone Cloud plans to provide Tencent Cloud-based professional cloud education for students enrolled in Yeonseong University, Korea Mobile Game Association, and Yeonseong University, nurture talented people in practice, and build a healthy game industry ecosystem through employment-linked programs. In addition, it plans to conduct industry-university joint research in the game industry by providing credit to competitive mobile indie game companies.

In the future, Yeonseong University will conduct cloud education specialized in games and media for students and employees. The training is prepared in the form of a special lecture where employees of actual cloud specialized companies participate and share know-how and major trends.

The education is divided into a cloud beginner curriculum that can learn basic background knowledge and theory about the cloud, and a cloud intermediate curriculum that can learn solutions specialized for the game and media industry. It consists of effective education that enhances understanding of specialized solutions and services that Tencent Cloud provides to game companies.

Current students and graduates who have continuously received education in the Cloud Introduction Department, Game Contents Department, Video Contents Department, Computer Software Department, and Webtoon Comic Contents Department of Yeonseong University can get employment benefits when applying for Megazone Cloud and related companies as well as member companies of the Korea Mobile Game Association. .

In addition, Megazone Cloud provides cloud consulting, technical support, and construction support for game companies in connection with the Smart Contents ICC (Enterprise Collaboration Center) of Yeonseong University to foster domestic game companies, and Tencent Cloud provides credit for game companies. Is expected. In addition, Megazone Cloud will provide Tencent Cloud-related promotions to member companies of the Korea Mobile Game Association, and will continue to cooperate to revitalize the game market.

Megazone Cloud announced that through this collaboration, it will expand its cloud consulting and education support business for companies and universities that need cloud adoption in the future, and nurture specialized talents in the cloud-using industry.

Minhee Kwon, president of Yeonsung University, said, “At a time when cloud computing services, essential for the 4th industrial revolution, are becoming common, universities, associations, and industries are pleased to conclude an agreement on education, R&BD, and sharing and collaboration for the future. In connection with the LINC 3.0 project, we expect to realize the value of co-evolution, where students, industry, universities, and local communities evolve and grow together by nurturing talented people in games and media culture contents and creating corporate value.”

Hwang Seong-ik, chairman of the Korea Mobile Game Association, said in his opinion, “I am delighted to be participating in this business agreement that can strengthen the roots of the Korean game industry. I hope that the four-party cooperation system will be strengthened going forward to turn it into a win-win opportunity for all.”

“Mobile game development is the most emerging field recently,” said Posh Young, senior vice president of Tencent Cloud International. “I think many Koreans will be interested.” He continued, “Through this agreement, it is very meaningful to be able to support the cloud technology, tools, and educational services necessary for the next generation of game developers in Korea. We will continue our activities,” he added.

Megazone Cloud CEO Lee Joo-wan said, “With this four-party business agreement, we will do our best to help foster talents for the cloud and game industries and help create an ecosystem for the domestic game industry. In the future, we plan to promote industry-university-research cooperation in various industries such as manufacturing and finance, as well as the game industry where the cloud is spreading.”
