    Unity starts accepting the largest ever MWU Korea Awards

    ● Competition for a total of 12 game and industry categories, submitted by August 31st and announced in October
    ● Established ‘Unity Pick’, selected as Best Indie and Best Social Impact
    ● If you submit your work by July 31st, prizes will be provided, and a limited early bird event will be held.

    Unity Korea (CEO Kim In-sook, hereafter referred to as Unity) is accepting applications for the ‘Made with Unity Korea Award 2022 (MWU Korea Award 2022)’, a content contest based on the Unity engine, until the 31st of next month.

    The ‘MWU Korea Award’, which celebrated its 6th anniversary this year, was designed to discover excellent domestic content based on the Unity engine and to support the success of the project. Through this, Unity plans to directly discover potential Unity creators.

    The MWU Korea Awards 2022 is divided into two categories: game and industry. The game field is ▲graphic ▲monetization ▲student work ▲innovation ▲PC/console ▲Immersive (VR/AR/XR/MR) sector, and the industry sector is ▲Visualization ▲Simulation ▲Immersive (VR/AR/XR/MR) ▲Media & Entertainment ▲ Expected work ▲ Student work will be open for a total of 12 categories.

    Any Unity creator residing in Korea can participate, and content that is being produced or developed based on the Unity engine and released or scheduled to be released after 2021 is targeted. For the award, the top 3 works in 12 game and industry categories are selected, and the grand prize in each field is selected through online public voting, and the grand prize is selected through evaluation by Unity’s internal evaluation committee.

    5 million won each for the grand prize (two works) and 1 million won each for the grand prize (12 works), along with various benefits such as technical consulting by Unity experts and promotion of Unity Korea and global official channels. The winning works will be announced in October after a panel of judges and public votes on professionalism, popularity, and novelty.

    In particular, this year, the Unity Pick was newly established as a special award to support creators who are active in various fields. ‘Best Social Impact’ prepared to contribute to

    A prize of 2 million won is awarded to each winning work, and various support programs are provided, such as promoting Unity Korea’s official channel. In addition, Logitech, the official sponsor, will prepare a ‘Brand Prize’ and select the ‘Logitech MX Prize’ and pay a prize of 1 million won.

    In addition, an early bird event will be held to provide a ‘Ready to Vacance’ set and a ‘Back to the Office’ set that can be used on vacation to 100 studios that have completed their final submissions by July 31st. Among them, Logitech MX Mechanical Wireless Mechanical Keyboard and MX Master 3S Wireless Mouse will be given away through lottery.

    Kim In-suk, CEO of Unity Korea, said, “The MWU Korea Awards are designed to discover and support outstanding content that can attract attention not only in Korea but also in the global market. I hope it will be a good stimulus and motivation for them.”
