Gyeonggi Province announced that it will recruit participants by the 31st of this month for the ‘Secondary Game Resource Production Support Project’ for developers who are having difficulties in supplying resources necessary for games.
Game resources refer to various graphics and sounds necessary for game composition. The ‘game resource production support business’ is a business that supports production of customized resources that can actually be used for games that are about to be released.
In the case of small and medium-sized game developers and individual developers, the situation is that they are having a lot of difficulty in supplying resources necessary for game production due to cost burden and shortage of manpower. Therefore, Gyeonggi-do and the Korea Indie Game Association are operating the ‘Gyeonggi-do Game Resource Sharing Platform’, which shares resources such as graphics and sound necessary for game development for free.
Gyeonggi-do plans to select a total of three game developers (including individuals) in Gyeonggi-do for this ‘secondary game resource production support project’, and the selected developers will provide resources worth about 20 million won through professional resource developers will receive
The created resources are distributed free of charge through Resourcebank (resourcebank.or.kr), a resource sharing platform, and can be used by any Korean game developer or developer.
The second production support project will be accepted until October 31st and will be selected fairly through document review, first expert review, and second PT presentation review.
Game developers in Gyeonggi-do who wish to apply for the business can download the application form through Indieple, the official cafe of the Korean Game Association or the QR code at the top of the poster, and submit it by e-mail along with a free-form game introduction.
