Unity Korea (CEO Kim In-sook, hereafter referred to as Unity) will hold the ‘Made with Unity Korea Awards 2022 (MWU Korea Awards 2022)’ for domestic Unity creators.
The ‘MWU Korea Award’, which has been held since 2017, is an event designed to discover excellent domestic content based on the Unity engine and to support the success of the project. This award, which marks its 6th anniversary this year, will further expand the activities of Unity creators under the slogan of ‘A bigger world made with Unity, join us now!’ Is expected.
This year’s awards were awarded in the ▲Graphics ▲Monetization ▲Student Artwork ▲Innovation ▲PC/Console ▲Immersive (VR/AR/XR/MR) category in the game field, and ▲Visualization ▲Simulation ▲Immersive (VR/AR/XR) ▲ Media & Entertainment ▲ Expected works ▲ Student works will be open for a total of 12 categories.
Participation is open to any Unity creator residing in Korea, and it targets content that is being produced or completed based on the Unity engine and is scheduled to be released or released in Korea after 2021. A work that did not win last year can be re-submitted this year, and duplicate entries can be made by category, but the award is limited to one item. The application period is until August 31, and formal application submissions will begin from July 1.
For the award, three works are selected in each of the 12 game and industry categories, and one grand prize is selected in each of the game and industry categories. In particular, the Best Indie for the revitalization of the indie ecosystem and the Best Social Impact category, which are designed to contribute to creating a sustainable society based on creativity, were added as special awards to this award, so that the scope of the awards is more diverse. It is characterized by expansion.
The winning works will receive a total of KRW 20 million in prize money, technical consulting from Unity experts, and promotion of the official Unity channel. The judging panel selects the winners through online public voting and a professional evaluation panel and announces them in October.
