Unity Korea (hereafter referred to as Unity) has unveiled the top 36 entries for the Unity engine-based content contest Made with Unity Korea Awards 2022 (hereinafter referred to as MWU Korea Awards 2022).
The ‘MWU Korea Award’ was designed to discover excellent domestic content based on the Unity engine and to support the success of the project. Since it was first held in 2017, the competition area has been expanded to the industry field beyond the game field, and excellent contents created based on Unity have been selected in various industries.
Unity selected and announced the top three works in each of the six game and industry categories based on professionalism, popularity, and novelty through a panel of judges made up of internal managers, experts, and external judges. A total of 400 works were submitted this year, breaking the record for the largest number of entries ever, and many creative and competitive works were submitted.
In particular, works with unique personalities and worldviews were submitted by a variety of age groups, from elementary school students to business workers.
Among the top 36, the top 12 works selected by community user votes are invited to the MWU Korea Awards 2022 awards ceremony, and various benefits are provided, including support to be introduced on Unity Korea online and offline channels.

In the ‘Best Media & Entertainment’ section, which selects works and projects that have storytelling or give pleasure among the industry fields, many projects that are actually used in the educational field were submitted. Among them, Woongjin ThinkBig’s book-based AR interactive book ‘AR Pedia’, media artist Junyong Moon’s immersive media art exhibition ‘Augmented Shadow: Shadows Chasing the Stars’, and Symbiote AI’s ‘VIRTU’ that implemented a mobile avatar social app were selected. done.
Unity will hold a public vote to select a total of 12 works from each of the 6 categories in the game and industry fields among the top 36 works through the official website until October 7th. The top 12 are selected based on the number of votes received during the popular voting period.
The results of the Top 12 selection will be announced through the October awards ceremony, and the grand prizes (two works) selected by Unity will also be announced. At the same time, ‘Best Indie’ for the revival of indie games and ‘Best Social Impact’ designed to contribute to creating a sustainable society and environment based on creativity will also be introduced.
