Gimhae, South Korea – August 18, 2025 – The Korea Indie Game Association (KIGA), together with MBC Academy Computer Education Center Gimhae Campus and Inje University, held an opening ceremony for the Gimhae Campus on August 13 and signed an MOU to launch a regional youth employment training program.
The event featured the campus opening ceremony, the KIGA–Inje University MOU signing, and a roundtable on youth employment education programs. Attendees included KIGA Chairman Song Chang-ho, Inje University Vice President Kim Sung-beom, Department of Computer Engineering Chair Kim Sang-gyun, AI Software Professors Kim Kyung-yi and Choi Yoon-sung, alongside representatives from related institutions.

Under the agreement, the three parties will jointly develop and operate practical, industry-focused training courses in gaming and IT, aiming to enhance local youth employability and expand job opportunities. Leveraging its strong industry network and hands-on expertise, KIGA plans to support youth employment while contributing to broader social value creation.
At the roundtable, participants discussed the need for portfolio and practice-based training programs and explored concrete implementation strategies. KIGA emphasized its commitment to cultivating tailored talent aligned with regional industry demand through collaboration with the Gimhae Campus.
KIGA Chairman Song Chang-ho stated:
“This agreement goes beyond educational support. It is a meaningful step in equipping young people with real employment competitiveness, while also creating new opportunities in the gaming and content industries.”
Currently, MBC Academy Computer Education Center Gimhae Campus is recruiting students for two free programs: a Metaverse Planning & Graphics course and a Unity Game Development course. KIGA announced that it will continue to work closely with local universities and organizations to expand customized youth training programs.
