15 game developers selected for Gyeonggi Province… up to 35 million won in marketing support
Gyeonggi Province and the Gyeonggi Content Agency (Director, hereinafter referred to as the Agency) officially announced on March 10 the recruitment notice for the ‘2026 Game Commercialization Support Project’, which will help local game developers directly enter the global market.
Applications will be accepted from March 17 to April 1 at 3:00 PM through the subsidy integrated portal e-Nara Help (www.gosims.go.kr).
Gyeonggi-do Game Developers Awarded… A Total of 15 Companies Selected
This project targets individual and corporate game developers located in Gyeonggi-do, and a total of 15 companies will be selected.
Even if your game hasn’t yet been released, if it’s completed in development and is preparing to expand overseas, you can still apply. Games already in service domestically or internationally and planning to expand into new overseas markets are also eligible for support.
However, ▲ if the developer did not directly develop the game being applied for ▲ if a publishing contract has already been signed in the country where the game is scheduled to be launched ▲ if another organization is carrying out a production support project in the same year ▲ if the company is in arrears with national or local taxes or the four major insurances, the company cannot apply for the project.
A two-track approach to global FGT and marketing support
The support program operates in a two-stage structure: indirect support and direct support.
First, selected companies will be provided with a global Focus Group Test (FGT) and marketing consulting. This one-on-one, customized consulting is provided by a professional management company, verifying the game’s completeness and suitability for overseas markets.
Afterwards, marketing support funds are paid in cash according to the ranking based on the results of the interim evaluation. ▲ 1st place company: 35 million won ▲ 2nd and 3rd place: 20 million won ▲ Ranks 4-15 will each receive 10 million won. Companies must match 10% of the grant.
The subsidy can only be used for general acceptance and general service costs for marketing purposes, and the game must be released within the business execution period of November 14th in the relevant launch region to be eligible for the subsidy.
Two-stage screening of documents and presentations… Only those with an average score of 70 or higher will pass.
The selection process is conducted in two stages: document screening and presentation screening. Fifteen finalists and six reserve companies will be selected. The results will be announced on the Gyeonggi Content Agency website on April 24th.
The evaluation is ▲Development completion ▲ Content competitiveness ▲ Production capabilities ▲ Overseas expansion strategy ▲ It will be conducted in 5 categories including sales generation capacity. Each item is worth 20 points, for a total of 100 points. Applicants who score below an average of 70 points will be disqualified. Upon application, applicants must submit presentation materials for presentation evaluation.
The Gyeonggi Content Agency will accept applications for the ‘2026 Game Commercialization Support’ from March 17 (Tuesday) to April 1 (Wednesday) at 3:00 PM through the e-National Assistance Subsidy Integrated Portal ( www.gosims.go.kr) .
