    Geralt’s Legend Gets a Bardic Twist: ‘Reigns: The Witcher’ Arrives on PC and Mobile Feb 25

    The White Wolf is back, but this time, his fate lies in the palm of your hand—and the somewhat unreliable memory of a drunken bard. Global indie publisher Devolver Digital and developer Nerial, in partnership with CD PROJEKT RED, have officially pulled back the curtain on Reigns: The Witcher.

    The latest “mutation” of the smash-hit swipe-’em-up series is set to launch on February 25, 2026, for PC (Steam), iOS, and Android.

    A Tale Told Through a Drunken Ballad

    While you play as the legendary monster slayer Geralt of Rivia, the narrative isn’t told from his perspective. Instead, the story unfolds through the exaggerated and musical lens of his best friend, Dandelion.

    Because Dandelion is a bard by trade (and a storyteller by habit), every mission you undertake is filtered through his ballads. This creates a “fan-fiction simulator” vibe where Geralt’s quests are retold with dramatic flair, comedic absurdity, and plenty of creative ways to meet a sticky end. Whether you are navigating a moral maze or just trying to find a hot bath, your choices will determine if Geralt becomes a living legend or a tragic footnote in one of Dandelion’s songs.

    Swiping, Strategy, and Rhythm-Based Combat

    Reigns: The Witcher stays true to the series’ iconic card-swiping mechanic, but adds several layers of Witcher-themed “secret sauce” to the recipe:

    • The Power of the Swipe: Swipe left or right to make critical decisions that balance the needs of nobles, mages, angry locals, and the monsters themselves.
    • Rhythm-Based Combat: In a departure from previous titles, combat is inspired by rhythm games like Crypt of the Necrodancer. Players must swipe in time with the music to parry, dodge, and strike, mimicking the fluid “dance” of Witcher swordplay.
    • Thousands of Combinations: With a narrative depth involving fan-favorite characters like Yennefer, Triss, and Vesemir, the game offers thousands of unique storyline combinations.
