Unity will be showcasing a number of creative global indie games based on Unity at ‘G-Star 2025’, which will be held at BEXCO from the 13th to the 16th.

In conjunction with the expanded “Indie Showcase 2.0: Galaxy,” Unity will host a world-themed “Unity Indie Showcase Zone” (hereafter referred to as the “Unity World Zone”) in the BTC Hall of the second exhibition hall. A total of 33 indie games attracting attention from the global indie scene across Asia, Europe, the Americas, and Oceania will be showcased, along with a variety of community events.
The overseas indie games that can be found in the Unity World Zone are ▲Chant of Senar (Lundisk), ▲Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days (Pigpok), ▲Core Keeper (Pugstorm), ▲Hell Hell (MONORYLLIS), ▲AI Limit (Sense Games), ▲Seongse Cheonha: Birth of the Empress I (New One Studio), ▲Whisper Mountain Outbreak (Toge Production), ▲Waleedrets (Waleedworks), ▲Big Boy Boxing (SoupMasters), ▲Sea Of Rifts (Out Of Bounds Games), ▲Project Z: Beyond Order (314 Arts OHG), ▲Tiny Bookshop (Neorudic), and 12 others.
Among them, French developer Rundisc’s puzzle adventure game ‘Chants of Sennaar’ has achieved notable success since its official release in September 2023. It has been well-received for its unique progression design that allows players to understand a disconnected world through language, as well as its high completion rate. In Steam user reviews, it has maintained an ‘Overwhelmingly Positive’ rating with 98% of 10,669 participants leaving positive responses. In addition, the work was nominated for the ‘Games for Impact’ category at The Game Awards in 2023 and the ‘Games for Impact’ category at the BAFTA Game Awards in 2024, and won the ‘Best Indie Game’ award at the New York Game Awards in 2024. Recently, the game has continued to expand its platform with the release of new mobile versions for iOS and Google Play.
“Core Keeper,” a mining sandbox adventure game developed by Pugstorm, is also considered a global indie hit. Players become explorers drawn into a cave by a mysterious artifact and explore an ever-changing world within an ancient cavern filled with diverse creatures, resources, and trinkets. The Korean version of the game for PS5 and Nintendo Switch was officially released in October of last year.
Many domestic indie games that were nominated for the ’17th Unity Awards’ will also be showcased.
“The Witch’s Garden,” nominated for the Most Anticipated Game award, is a roguelike action game developed by Team Tapas that launched on Steam Early Access in May. It has garnered rave reviews for its seamless blend of attractive visuals and challenging skill-based boss battles. Each round offers unique combinations of weapons, spells, synergies, and magical tools, allowing players to create new builds and transform the fun of battle. “The Witch’s Garden” is scheduled for an early 2026 release.
Named Best 2D Visual Game, developer Handy Communications’ “Magic Ink” combines exploration, combat, collecting, customization, and management simulation to create an immersive and dynamic world. Based on the unique theme of excavating and preserving ancient civilizations and artifacts, players can immerse themselves in their own epic adventure.
Lilasoft’s ‘Vibe Punch’, nominated for the Best AR/VR Game category, is a VR rhythm action game in which players shoot bullets, block lasers, and dodge bombs to the beat of intense music. It was released on the MetaQuest platform in May of this year. It provides an immersive rhythm fitness experience that combines music and combat, including a total of 50 tracks, a ricochet system that eliminates enemies by deflecting their bullets with punches, and a dynamic battle arena that responds to punches and rhythm. It is highly addictive, has excellent exercise effects, and a satisfying hitting sensation.
Developer Two Tone Studio’s “Shooting Girls” is a real-time PvP bullet hell shooter, nominated for Best Multiplayer Game. Featuring a mix of strategic gameplay modes like 1v1 duels, 2v2 battles, and battle royale, the game boasts captivating character designs and intuitive controls for a thrilling experience.
Developer Rubam’s “Cat Cottage” was nominated for Best Mobile Game. This healing, collectible game involves observing and interacting with cats, collecting their fur, and crafting various furniture to decorate your cottage.
The G-Star Indie Showcase Zone will also feature events to add to the fun for on-site attendees. Visitors can visit game booths within the Showcase Zone and receive a stamp for verification, which will earn them access to a variety of prizes, including limited-edition Unity merchandise. On the opening day of G-Star (the 13th), a “Unity Acorn Pojangmacha” will be held, providing a networking opportunity for game industry professionals, creating a forum for free exchange.
On Saturday the 15th, there will be a mini-session titled ‘Indie Survival Guide’ with Unity APAC Advocacy Leader Beomju Kim, and ‘Non-major Development, It’s Not Difficult! Getting Started with Unity Development’ with Unity Senior Advocates Jaeik Kim and Jihyun Oh.
