Over 900 Participants and 160 Business Meetings Drive Meaningful Results
The Gyeonggi Game Connect 2025, hosted by Gyeonggi Province and organized by the Gyeonggi Content Agency (GCA), concluded successfully after a two-day run from October 30–31 in Pangyo. The event brought together more than 900 participants, including game companies, investors, students, and aspiring entrepreneurs, creating a vibrant platform for networking and collaboration.
As a follow-up to the PLAYX4 exhibition, this initiative was designed to help small and mid-sized indie game studios strengthen their investment readiness and global competitiveness.

A Two-Day Convergence of Talent, Industry, and Innovation
Across the two days, the event featured an extensive lineup of programs including:
- Job Fairs and Career Counseling
- FGT (Focus Group Test) Playtesting
- Global Seminars
- Business Meetings and IR Presentations
- Indie Developer Seminars and Networking Events
On the first day, career programs targeted at students and job seekers were met with full attendance, featuring recruitment sessions by Neowiz, Pearl Abyss, NHN, and 111%. The Global Seminar attracted major international speakers such as Al Yang (Creative Director of Silent Hill f), Jason Nuens (Starfield contributor), and Carl Wang (Head of Mini Games, ByteDance/TikTok), who shared insights on game production and global expansion strategies.
The second day focused on business and investment, with 138 participating companies conducting over 160 meetings between developers, publishers, and investors. Several contracts and agreements were signed onsite, including partnerships with firms like Ubisoft and Indion, underscoring the event’s tangible outcomes.
Fostering Employment and Global Connectivity
The FGT program allowed students to test unreleased indie titles and provide direct feedback to developers, bridging education and real-world development experience. Meanwhile, the Indie Developer Seminar featured creative directors from Wonder Potion, Lizard Smoothie, and Kassel Games, who shared their first-hand experiences on small-team production and publishing challenges.
The event’s final networking session drew over 150 industry professionals, coinciding with the 10th anniversary of the Gyeonggi Global Game Center, further solidifying the region’s status as a hub for Korea’s gaming innovation.
Strengthening the Indie Game Ecosystem
