Promoting Korea’s Indie and AI Game Ecosystem
The Korea Artificial Intelligence Game Association (KAIGA) announced that it will operate an Indie Game Zone and promotional booth during the Korea Game Developer Conference 2025 (KGDCon 2025), taking place from October 31 to November 1.
KGDCon 2025 will be held under the theme “Make Your Imagination Move” as part of Contents Universe Korea 2025, Korea’s comprehensive content industry festival. The event will feature keynote speakers including Kwon Min-seob (NEXON Games), Lee Jae-ho (NEOWIZ AI Researcher), Hyun Baro (Lunaton CEO), and Seo Hee-soo (Eleven Dots Studio, developer of “Suspicious Convenience Store”), who will share insights into emerging trends across the gaming industry.
Indie Game Zone: Showcasing 20 Innovative Indie Developers
The Indie Game Zone will spotlight around 20 indie development teams, offering attendees a chance to experience new and unreleased titles across PC and mobile platforms. Developers will demonstrate their games live and connect directly with audiences, investors, and publishers in a free-standing networking area designed to encourage spontaneous interaction and business matching.
This year’s exhibition emphasizes creativity, accessibility, and real-time feedback, enabling visitors to engage in hands-on demos while providing indie developers with valuable exposure to both local and international markets.
Expanding Industry Collaboration and On-site Support
In addition to the Indie Game Zone, KAIGA will host a dedicated promotional booth to introduce the association’s AI-integrated gaming initiatives, developer support programs, and business collaboration projects. Visitors will be able to learn about KAIGA’s AI-driven tools for development efficiency, mentorship programs, and policy advocacy for indie creators.
A KAIGA spokesperson stated:
“Through KGDCon 2025, we aim to give indie game developers the opportunity to showcase their creativity and gain recognition in both domestic and global markets. We will continue building bridges between AI innovation and game content to strengthen Korea’s overall game industry.”
