- Sharing answers with friends to avoid the proctor at a 90s-style school
- Mobilizing cell phones, walkie-talkies, and secret passages… All team members either pass or fail together
Italian indie game studio DESTINYbit will release the cooperative exam cheating simulator ‘Finals Week’ on Steam on October 29.
‘Final Week’ begins with the setting of final exams at a 90s-style school. Instead of studying, players must share answers with friends and pass increasingly difficult exams while avoiding the watchful eyes of the supervising teacher.
Teachers patrolling the classroom monitor suspicious conversations and catch students by accurately throwing erasers. Players must share information by sending answers via mobile phones, utilizing walkie-talkies and binoculars, and passing textbooks around. The surrounding environment can also be utilized in the operation, such as by distracting the teacher or using secret passages.
Wads of paper, various projectiles, and even pens that shoot tranquilizer darts appear. You can draw on desks, walls, and paper, as well as on friends, making it possible to leave notes for the exam or doodle nonsense. If cheating is detected, additional restrictions are imposed, making the exam significantly more difficult.
The game is centered around cooperative gameplay where all team members either pass or fail together. Between exams, players can play basketball in the school hallways, survey the surroundings, and prepare for the next strategy. Customization options, such as clothing, hairstyles, and colors, are also provided.
DESTINYbit is a game development team based in Ravenna, Italy, that developed Empires Apart, Dice Legacy, and Nitro Gen Omega. They have created games that offer players memorable and unexpected stories, spanning various genres and art styles.
‘Final Week’ is scheduled to be released on Steam on October 29, 2026.
