KOCCA’s Game Talent School to Showcase 10 Student Projects at G-STAR 2025

    By Editorial Team2025년 11월 07일Updated:2025년 11월 14일3 Mins Read

Award-winning graduation and mini-project titles highlight Korea’s next-generation game developers

November 7, 2025 — Seoul, South Korea — The Game Talent School, operated by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST) and the Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA), announced that it will present 10 student-developed games at G-STAR 2025, held from November 13 to 16 at BEXCO in Busan. The showcase will feature seven graduation projects and three mini concept projects, demonstrating the school’s strong track record in hands-on, industry-aligned training.

A Practical Training Hub for Korea’s Future Game Creators

KOCCA’s Game Talent School is a specialized institution dedicated to nurturing professionals who will lead Korea’s game industry. The curriculum integrates planning, design, and programming into a unified, production-focused pipeline. Students gain real-world development experience, strengthen collaboration skills, and work through the entire process from concept to potential launch.

10 Student Projects to Be Exhibited at G-STAR 2025

The exhibition will highlight diverse genres and creative worlds crafted by students. Featured graduation projects include:

    • After the Curtain Call
    • F-Class Hunter: Survival
    • Vanishing Ground
    • Omega: Protocol
    • Chukgui
    • LOG:OUT
    • Kori & Travelers

    Mini-project titles include:

    • Daehwanjang Games
    • Shotgun Princess
    • Re:BELLION

Among them, several works have already received domestic and international recognition:

    Chukgui — Voice-Controlled Shamanic Horror

Set on an abandoned island, Chukgui uses voice recognition to enable unique interactive gameplay rooted in Korean shamanistic horror. The title was selected for the Tokyo Game Show 2025 Indie 80 and exhibited at the Osaka Indie Game Summit 2025, gaining strong attention overseas.

Daehwanjang Games — Award-Winning Experimental Comedy

Winner of the Excellence in Experimental Award at the 2024 Busan Indie Connect Festival (BIC), this comedic reporting game casts players as QA testers who intentionally uncover bugs for entertainment.

Shotgun Princess — Public Pick Winner at BIC 2025

This action game features a princess navigating a dungeon composed of everyday infrastructure—while using a wheelchair. It has been praised for its originality and social message, winning the Public Pick Award at BIC 2025.

    On-site Consultations for Aspiring Developers

In addition to the game showcase, the Game Talent School will operate a consultation booth, offering visitors insight into its practical curriculum and training programs. Anyone interested in game development can receive direct guidance from KOCCA representatives.

KOCCA: Supporting Growth Through Hands-On Experience

Kim Nam-geol, Director at KOCCA, stated,

“G-STAR 2025 provides students with a valuable opportunity to present their work directly to industry professionals and the public. KOCCA will continue to support students as they grow by creating their own games and sharing them with the world.”

The Game Talent School aims to continue fostering industry-ready talent through immersive, field-centered education that reflects current development environments.
