The game culture festival ‘GXG 2025 (Game culture X Generation 2025)’ hosted by Seongnam City (Mayor Shin Sang-jin) and organized by Seongnam Industrial Promotion Agency (Director Lee Eui-jun) and Game Culture Foundation (Chairman Yoo Byeong-han) will be held for two days from September 19th (Fri) to 20th (Sat) at the Pangyo Station Plaza in Seongnam. GXG 2025 is a festival that anyone, including game industry professionals, ordinary citizens, and game users, can participate and enjoy, and is expected to establish itself as the largest urban game culture event representing Seongnam in Korea.
This year’s festival’s experiential program “THE PLAY” and exhibition program “THE ART” will welcome visitors with a collaboration between global game companies and corporations, local youth, and university students. Participation in the second “GXG Collaboration” (▲Indie Craft ▲Illustrator Festival ▲Seongnam Youth Flea Market ▲GV2025) will expand the diversity and depth of the experience. In particular, GXG 2025 will provide visitors with even more enjoyment by strengthening its regular programs in a space that is one block larger than last year.
■ Pangyo Station Central Plaza: GXG 2025 Welcomed by ‘Bangboo’

Upon entering Pangyo Station’s central plaza, the Genres Zone Zero Experience Zone, a recreation of the in-game city of “New Eridu,” captivates visitors. The on-site experience offers a wealth of entertainment, including demonstration play, a message wall, and a Bangboo photo zone.
Additionally, the Microsoft booth will offer hands-on experience with Microsoft Copilot and various AI experiential programs, while SYLO will host a rewards event alongside gameplay of new mobile games. Clouded Leopard Entertainment Korea will showcase a demonstration of its new game (Trails in the Sky the 1st), and Redprinting will showcase a custom product experience where visitors can create their own designs.
■ Pangyo Station North Plaza A: GXG 2025, where ‘Supercell Town’ awaits

Turning your gaze toward the expansive North Plaza, Supercell Town is the first thing to greet visitors. Supercell Town offers a unique experience of Supercell’s popular games, beloved by all ages: “Clash of Clans,” “Clash Royale,” and “Brawl Stars,” all in one place. Fun quizzes and prizes await, too.
Additionally, the participation of various companies and organizations in the North Plaza is noteworthy. Creative Workshop, Bada, and Orange Communications will offer experiences in audio-based dubbing, game sound, and audiobook production.
In addition, the festival site is filled with a variety of booths, including a display and experience of game assistive devices (Smilegate (Game Accessibility)), a game concept energy drink (Chimney Puppy (Red Potion)), a game habit check and limited edition photo card production (Seongnam Game Healing Center), and a board game experience that can be enjoyed by people of all ages (Magic Bean Games).
■ Pangyo Station North Plaza B: The perfect place to enjoy, relax, and play at the festival
The Play Lounge, open to everyone, offers a wide variety of console games to enjoy. A variety of titles will be available, including 2K’s new release, “NBA 2K26,” “WWE 2K25,” and “Top Spin 2K25.”
A Cool Station will also be created for visitors seeking a break. Developed in collaboration with Dong-A Otsuka, the Cool Station offers a variety of beverages, including “THE Masinda,” a canned bottle of drinking water. Visitors can recharge while listening to the music of a busking band from the substage.
The GXG Theater program on the Substage screens user-created fan movies twice daily. Before each screening, a mini-event will be held, offering special merchandise to attendees on a first-come, first-served basis.
■ Places for special encounters: GXG Artbook Lounge, GXG Campus Arcade, GXG Market
Even at the indoor event venue, diverse encounters await on each floor. On the first floor of Pangyo Tech One, in collaboration with Hanlim Publishing, the GXG Art Book Lounge offers a place to freely browse books on four topics: games, design, animation, and product design, and find inspiration. On the second floor, the GXG Campus Arcade showcases works created by university students.
Head across from Tech One Tower to Pangyo Station’s central plaza to find the Hallym Publishing booth, where you can browse a variety of game goods, art books, illustration books, and more. Furthermore, at the GXG-exclusive market, “GXG Goods for Good,” you can purchase game company merchandise at special prices while also donating to a charitable cause.
■ GXG 2025 created with various festivals
There are also many experiences you can enjoy through GXG collaboration.
An exhibition and experience space featuring around 70 indie games from Indiecraft will be created on the first floor and basement level of Pangyo Tech One and at Pangyo Station. In collaboration with Illustrator Fes, a creative market (Illustrator Fes Petit) with 52 teams is scheduled for the West Plaza. Stage programs (Illustrator Fes Stage, Illustrator Fes DJ Connect) will be presented at each stage. The Central Plaza will host the Seongnam Youth Flea Market featuring local youth brands, and the Gyeonggi Center for Creative Economy and Innovation will host GV2025, a game career exploration program for youth and young adults.
The GXG Operations Office stated, “We hope that GXG 2025, which will decorate Pangyo Station, will be a special time for citizens to rediscover and enjoy the cultural and artistic charm of games,” and added that they will be putting the final push into preparations for the event, which is just around the corner.
Meanwhile, various stage programs, including the game music competition GXG Soundtrack and GXG Busking, will be prepared at the main stage of Pangyo Station’s central square and the sub-stage of North Square B. Detailed program and schedule can be found on the GXG official website.
