    [Tumblbug] Fill your voice with the unique visual novel ‘Delicious Love’!

    ‘Delicious Love’ is a love (+ a spoonful of horror) visual novel that was successfully funded on Tumblbug in February 2022 and released through Steam Early Access. We are working on the official release in the third quarter of 2023.

    ◈ Main features of the game ‘Delicious Love’

    🚻 Male/Female gender selection (GL available depending on selection)
    🎬 Drama style rather than a novel (scene description, monologue < focus on the conversation between characters, emotional development)
    🥵 Realistic and spicy story (with a twist, somewhat higher difficulty depending on the route)
    🔱 Completely different content per route (few overlapping contents, focus on one after determining the route)
    🔁 Multiple rounds (specific section content is different, all routes are recommended)

    In March 2020, the main story is the love story of high school students who are taking remote classes in the early days of social distancing.

    More streamers play than I thought, and the reviews were always the polar opposite.
    It was a fresh and good game VS. Did you make this a game? (stop streaming)

    That’s right. This game was a shocking game for existing Korean Miyeonsi fans.

    ‘Delicious Love’ is recommended for those who enjoy realistic and different stories rather than pure love.
    Although the look is masculine, it is also a game that women who like GL/HL like a lot.
    From the planning stage, I’m calling this game neutral.

    ◈ Reasons for reopening funding

    After launching with Early Access, I heard quite a bit about this from some streamers and users.

    “The dubbing is not working properly and I don’t feel any reason to play the game anymore”
    “I don’t like unfinished games to raise so much money and not spend money on dubbing”

    As those who participated in the 1st round of funding know, the original dubbing condition was 300% achieved.
    In the desire to make a better work, I squeezed out insufficient money and dubbed parts,
    Rather, it received a bitter evaluation, saying it was a game that could not be cost-effective due to a lack of dubbing.

    I didn’t write down the number of scenarios, so there were people who usually only watched one route and did it even though it was short.
    So the content is so short, but you might ask how much it costs.
    I was curious about how much it would be, so I counted the number of characters I’ve worked on so far.

    It is the statistics up to the present part. The amount of netcode (online part) is excluded. Due to the nature of our game, which has relatively few monologues and few descriptions, more than half of them are lines of heroes. There are many branches, so there are more lines actually written than lines shown when playing a loop.

    The voice actors in charge of the main heroine are all from public recruitment, and there are four of them.
    Of course, it is true that it costs more than indie studios and indie voice actors.
    It is absolutely not a scale that a single developer, not even a large developer, can afford with their own money.
    You might be presumptuously saying I used too many great people for a one-man development indie game.

    We never ignore the quality of indie voice actors. There are so many great people.
    However, I really wanted to work properly with the voice actors who had helped me a lot in the past.
    Again, you finally answered my presumptuous request for help, and I owe you another favor.

    So this time, we have prepared voice funding with a variety of goods than before.
    A dream that has yet to be fulfilled because I want to give my children a full voice.

    I don’t know how much it was a pity I couldn’t do full dubbing with such a great voice actor.
    If I hadn’t made a game like this, when would I ever work with people like this again?

    • During the sponsorship period: version 3 update (Hyeonchae route added)
    • April 4th ~ May 1st week: Order physical goods (acrylic key holder, card-type USB)
    • 2nd week of May: Delivery of digital goods (Steam key, digital art book, digital OST)
    • Week 3-4 of May: Audio drama/in-game script production, voice actor schedule coordination
    • June 1-2 weeks: Audio drama recording and production of goods related to voice actors completed
    • 3rd week of June: Delivery of physical goods
    • 2nd quarter of 2023 (estimated at the end of June): scheduled for official release (Miyoung route added and dubbing applied)

    The detailed schedule may be adjusted according to the funding success rate and the schedule of the voice actors.
