On the 16th, the Korea Creative Content Agency (President Cho Hyun-rae, hereinafter referred to as KOCCA) held the ‘Contents Industry Future Strategy Consultative Body (hereinafter referred to as consultative body) to discover future innovation tasks for the sustainable contents industry and discuss innovation directions based on major government policies. ‘ and held the first meeting.

◆ Follow-up measures for the 5 innovation strategies to support the content industry, discussion on discovering future innovation strategies for the content industry

This consultative body was prepared as part of KOCCA’s official announcement in December of last year. It is expected to serve as a channel for continuous mutual communication between the public and private sectors to preemptively respond to changes in the content industry environment and establish KOCCA’s innovation and future strategies for the content industry.

First of all, the consultative body will collect opinions from the industry following the ▲reorganization of KOCCA’s support system and method ▲of new business proposals ▲system improvement, and innovation promotion tasks. In addition, ▲new technology convergence contents ▲digital conversion ▲OTT expansion ▲emphasis on the importance of IP ▲expansion of content export, etc., will be dealt with as major agenda items in the industry according to the rapidly changing content industry environment and countermeasures. And through this, KOCCA’s mid-to-long-term strategic tasks to support the sustainable growth of K-contents will be derived.

The council will hold regular meetings on a quarterly basis, and if important issues related to future strategies and innovation tasks arise, a temporary council in the form of a subcommittee will be formed to respond promptly.

Cho Hyun-rae, president of KOCCA, said, “The K-contents industry, as a new food industry for the future, has recently recorded high export performance and is emerging as a new growth engine for the Korean economy.” We will discover future innovation strategies for the sustainable content industry.”
