Indie game developer Thebrix announced on the 19th that it has released a PC-based multi-ending adventure game ’30 Days Another’ through the indie game platform Stove Indy. This PC version release is about a year after the mobile version was released.
’30 Days Another’ focuses on the story of characters other than the main character that were not revealed in the mobile version of ’30 Days’. As I focused on the deep story and relationships of ‘other’ characters, I was able to enjoy a new and rich story.
’30 Days’ recorded more than 170,000 downloads cumulatively across the two major mobile markets, and achieved 646% of the target through crowdfunding on Tumblr before its release.
The ’30 Days’ PC launch was also a promise to achieve 500% of the crowdfunding stretch goals held at Tumblr. Thebrix, which kept its promise with its sponsors, not only moves the existing mobile content as it is, but also introduces new scenarios and content.
’30 Days Another’ is 1) ‘Avoca Story’, a person book system that allows you to collect individual stories of each character, 2) ‘Cafe Beautiful’ where you can have a one-to-one conversation with the characters, 3) cutscene illustration and gallery function, 4) A synchronization function that displays the location of the character on the map is added. In addition, overall supplements such as adding 5 hidden endings and upgrading maps and object illustrations are also included.
’30 Days Another’ tells the story of the main character, who becomes the secretary of a gosiwon for 30 days and prevents the death of a suicidal student who lives in a gosiwon. It is characterized by being able to see 21 kinds of endings according to the material and story that are commonly found in daily life, and the user’s choice.
The game contains the message that ‘with the right attention, someone’s death can be prevented’. It warmly depicts the various stories that take place in the gosiwon for 30 days, and focuses on how a small interest in the people around you can have an impact.
In order to put the right information into the game, the developer listened to lectures on suicide prevention or received scenario advice from a psychiatrist. Through the suicide prevention signal guideline of the Korea Respect for Life and Hope Foundation and the insertion of the suicide prevention counseling line (1393), it was attempted to directly insert content to help prevent suicide into the game.
The developer, Thebrix, aims to create games that bring positive changes to society by solving social problems that can be sympathized with in everyday life. With this ’30 Days Another’, we plan to carry out the Respect for Life campaign together with Smilegate Stove and Smilegate Hope Studio to bring positive changes to society.
’30 Days Another’ can be found on Stove Indy . More information can be found on the Thebrix website.
