The Korea Indie Game Association announced that the ‘Indie Awards 2024’ indie game awards ceremony, which honors the creativity and passion of Korean indie game developers, will be held on Friday, December 13th at the Megazone Building in Yeoksam-dong, Seoul.
This awards ceremony, now in its fourth year, was established to promote the development of the domestic indie game industry and to support and encourage developers who develop games with unique ideas.
This awards ceremony is sponsored by Megazone Cloud, ZDNet Korea, Korea Game Media Association, Plidus, Unity Korea, and Neowiz. In the last entry call, over 100 teams applied, and 16 teams were selected through fair evaluation in the first evaluation. The second and third rounds were offline and online voting with game users, and the final grand prize evaluation will be reflected at a ratio of 40%.
This year, a total of three games will be given the chance to win awards, and the final judging will consist of 16 teams presenting their games on stage through speech presentations. The judging panel for the presentations will consist of a group of experts who are active in each field, including developers, investors, and publishers, and various networking opportunities will also be provided.
The main awards ceremony will be held at the Megazone Building in Yeoksam, and the general public can attend, so there is an opportunity for participation for those interested in indie games. The event is scheduled to be held on Friday, December 13th at 3:00 PM in the conference room on the first basement floor.
This awards ceremony will feature a variety of souvenirs and event activities for attendees, and a networking party for indie developers will also be held after the event.
