The Korea Indie Game Association announced on the 10th that it has closed the application for entries for the indie game exhibition brand hall ‘Indie Rock Room’ at ‘2025 PlayX4’, the largest game exhibition in the metropolitan area.
The 2025 PlayX4 Indie Rock Festival held a recruitment period from February 17 to March 3, targeting approximately 40 works. During the recruitment period, 156 unique indie games applied to participate, recording a competition rate of 3.6 to 1, the highest ever.
The entries were rigorously reviewed by judges who are actively working in the field for a certain period of time, and a final selection of 43 works was made. The selected works will be unveiled at the PlayX4 Indio Rocksil booth held at KINTEX in Ilsan, Gyeonggi-do from May 22 to May 25.
PlayX4 Indie Rock has established itself as a venue that provides new opportunities and challenges to indie game developers every year. The Korea Indie Game Association plans to actively support developers to showcase their works and communicate directly with gamers through this exhibition.
Detailed information can be found in the Indie Cafe announcement (link to be inserted), and the selected indie games plan to open game information in advance before the exhibition.
