    Global representative indie game festival ‘BIC Festival 2022’… Held an online briefing session on March 25th The 8th Busan Indie Connect Festival Business Briefing held on March 25th

    Busan City (Mayor Park Hyung-Jun), Busan Information Industry Promotion Agency (President Jung Moon-Seop), and Busan Indie Connect Festival Organizing Committee (Chairman Seo Tae-Gun) will hold a briefing session for the global representative indie game festival ‘Busan Indie Connect Festival 2022 (hereinafter referred to as BIC Festival 2022)’. It was announced that it will be held online at 2 pm on March 25th.

    BIC Festival, which started in 2015 and celebrated its 8th year this year, has grown into the largest global indie game event in Asia beyond Korea as a single event for indie games. Last year, which took place both online and offline, 121 indie games from 27 countries were exhibited, and their status was gradually expanding around the world, recording 1545,000 views in 42 countries.

    This briefing session will be held online and non-face-to-face due to the spread of COVID-19, and anyone can watch it through the official YouTube channel Busan Indie Connect Festival (BIC Festival). At the briefing session, ▲date and event outline ▲major changes ▲introduction of the exhibition reception section and information on how to apply ▲exhibition venue selection screening plan, etc. will be announced.

    In particular, the reception system guide will be guided by a special guest, BIC’s virtual influencer ‘John’. With a familiar and cute image and bouncy wit, we plan to introduce past BIC exhibitions through our exclusive YouTube channel in the future, as well as promote the ‘BIC Festival’ through networking with game users.

    In addition, pre-questions are collected through the BIC official website, and some selected questions are answered directly by the presenter on the day of the briefing, solving the curiosity of developers, related companies, and gamers, and providing certain products through a lottery.

    Seo Tae-geon, chairman of the Busan Indie Connect Festival Organizing Committee, said, “Despite the successive crisis of Corona, we were able to safely hold last year’s BIC Festival thanks to the enthusiasm of indie game developers at home and abroad. “As the challenge of the BIC Festival to support the indie game ecosystem is being unveiled for the first time this year, we ask for a lot of interest from those involved.”
