Devolver Digital, a global game distribution company, announced that Wolfeye Studio’s first work, Weird West, will be officially released on April 1st (Korean time). ‘Weird West’ will be released on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One platforms.
Wolfeye Studio is a studio newly established by Rafael Colantonio and Julian Robbie of Frey and Dishonored, the founders of Arcane Studio. ‘Weird West’ is set in the pioneering era of the American West, where a sheriff and gunslinger work together with various supernatural beings. Encounter deals with a bizarre story.
Players will control a total of five unique characters and explore a western setting with elements of horror, sci-fi, and fantasy. The game claims to be an immersive simulation genre in which every detail is changed according to the decisions the gamer makes, along with a variety of random encounters.
‘Weird West’ was originally scheduled to be released in January of this year, but the release was delayed by 3 months in accordance with the developer’s wish to present a more complete game in the recent game market, which is often released unfinished and behind the promised schedule.
