Seongnam City is operating the ‘Visiting Friends Game Land’ program in partnership with Kakao Games.
This program is a social contribution program in which a 25-seater bus decorated with Kakao Friends characters visits local children and youth and provides an opportunity to experience a four-dimensional (4D) virtual reality (VR) game culture.
You can ride a bus, wear VR equipment in the form of glasses, and while driving, you can play a Ferris wheel, a merry-go-round, a tourist train, a gyro drop, and a roller coaster ride in a 360-degree stereoscopic image. In the vicinity of the Game Land Bus, there will be a character photo zone and a braille block play experience.
On April 25, the city hosted the first Friends Game Land program this year for 30 students at the Dochon Social Welfare Center in Jungwon-gu, and it received a great response. Following this, schedules such as Himchan Regional Children’s Center and Hansol Regional Children’s Center are scheduled until next June.
Seongnam City Asia Silicon Valley Manager said, “This is a specialized project and social contribution program that started when the Pangyo area was designated as a special game and content zone in April of last year.
Last year, Seongnam City and Kakao Games Co., Ltd. operated a game land program in which 167 children from six institutions participated.
