Neowiz (co-representatives Kim Seung-cheol and Bae Tae-geun) announced on the 1st that they would hold the ‘BIGS: Banggusuk Indie Game Show (BIGS 2023)’ in which domestic, indie game developers will participate.
‘Beix 2023’, which celebrated its fourth episode this year, is an online game show that has been held since 2020 to support indie game companies that are having difficulties in promoting. Through the event page ( https://www.bigameshow.com/bigs2023_teasing/ ), anyone can directly experience various genres and original indie games and watch each game’s latest trailer videos.
This year, Beix 2023 is jointly hosted by Neowiz, Gyeonggi Content Agency, and Seoul Economic Promotion Agency and is jointly organized by Neowiz and Megazone Cloud. Various companies such as Unity, Stove, One Store, Hive, Twitch, Inven, and Ruliweb participate as sponsors.
Beix 2023 will be held for a week from August 10th to 16th, and indie game developers who wish to participate can apply online at the official reception page (URL). Eligibility for participation in domestic/overseas individual developers or developers aged 14 or older who develop indie games and can apply regardless of platform, such as PC or mobile. The application period is until July 6, and participation is free of charge.
Meanwhile, the ‘BIGS AWARD,’ which selects the best indie games among the indie games participating in the event, will also be held. This year, a total of 100 million won, including prize money and marketing support, will be held.
