– 30% discount event for ‘Skull’ and ‘Aka’ until May 7th to celebrate Children’s Day
– You can purchase up to 80% cheaper indie games such as ‘Metal Unit’ and ‘Death Rise’
Neowiz (co-representatives Kim Seung-cheol and Bae Tae-geun) announced on the 24th that two indie games that it is servicing, such as ‘Skul’ and ‘Aka,’ will participate in the Nintendo Switch Children’s Day special discount event.
This discount event is held in celebration of the upcoming ‘Children’s Day’ and will be held on the Nintendo eShop and online store for two weeks, from the 24th to the 7th of May. Users can enjoy two popular indie games, Neowiz, such as ‘Skull’ and ‘Aka,’ at a 30% discount during the period.
The event hosted by the Nintendo Switch is held based on a specific time or concept, such as ‘Children’s Day’ or ‘Halloween Day,’ and is an event in which the Nintendo Switch directly selects games that match the theme and proceeds with discounts.
Three indie games such as ‘Metal Unit,’ ‘Unsouled,’ and ‘8Doors’ can be discounted during the same period. First of all, the 2D action game ‘Death Rise’ is discounted by 80%, the 2D action adventure game ‘Metal Unit’ is sold at a 75% discount, and the 2D action game ‘Unsouled’ is sold at a 72% discount.
Meanwhile, ‘Skull’ is a 2D rogue-lite action game featuring a unique system that transforms into a new character by replacing the head of the main character, Skull. It was the first Korean indie game to record cumulative sales of 1 million copies within a year of its official release. The healing adventure game ‘Aka’ was recognized for its game quality at the ‘Gamescom 2022’ held in August last year and was finally selected as the ‘Best Unity Game’ and the ‘Indie Community Choice Award,’ winning two crowns.
