Chiang Mai’s Bit Egg Inc. Launches ‘Lost and Found Co.’: A Hand-Drawn Hidden Object Masterpiece Hits Steam

    By Editorial Team2026년 03월 07일Updated:2026년 03월 08일3 Mins Read
    • The Hype: Thailand’s most wishlisted indie game, surpassing 200,000 registrations before launch.
    • The World: 26 sprawling, hand-drawn stages packed with thousands of interactive objects.
    • The Hero: A duck named Ducky, magically transformed into a human intern for a supernatural startup.
    • The Studio: Bit Egg Inc., a premier Southeast Asian studio based in the creative hub of Chiang Mai.

The hidden object genre just got a massive infusion of charm and color. Bit Egg Inc., in partnership with Gamirror Games, officially released Lost and Found Co. on PC (Steam) on March 6. Already boasting an “Overwhelmingly Positive” rating from its demo phase, the full release is being hailed as a new standard for the genre, blending “Where’s Waldo” mechanics with a deep, narrative-driven adventure.

A Startup for the Soul: Meet Ducky and Mei

The premise of Lost and Found Co. is as quirky as its art style. Players step into the shoes—or rather, the human feet—of Ducky, a small duck who has been magically turned into a human. Ducky finds himself interning at the “Lost and Found Co.,” a startup dedicated to finding the misplaced items of quirky villagers.

Working alongside Mei, a dragon goddess who has lost her powers, Ducky must scour every inch of the world to recover missing artifacts. The game isn’t just about clicking on items; it’s about discovering the small stories hidden within the chaos, chatting with NPCs, and uncovering the mystery of Mei’s missing divinity.

Artistry in Every Pixel: 26 Hand-Drawn Stages

The true star of the show is the visual presentation. Each of the 26+ stages is a labor of love, filled with thousands of unique, hand-drawn objects and characters.

    • Living Environments: Objects aren’t static; characters go about their day, reacting to your clicks and revealing secrets.
    • Office Customization: As you find items and progress through the story, you can use your rewards to decorate Ducky’s office, giving players a sense of persistent growth.
    • Post-Game Challenges: For those who find the main stages too easy, bonus “Challenge Levels” offer a significantly higher level of difficulty for the eagle-eyed completionist.

From Chiang Mai to the World: The Rise of Bit Egg

Founded in 2015 by Silicon Valley veterans Richmond Lee and Stephen Liu, Bit Egg Inc. has grown from a small startup into one of Southeast Asia’s largest independent studios, with over 80 employees across Chiang Mai and Bangkok.

While the studio has long been a sought-after partner for giants like Square Enix and WayForward, Lost and Found Co. represents their most ambitious internal IP to date. The game spent three years in development, undergoing three major art overhauls to reach its current level of polish.

“We wanted to create a world that felt alive,” says Richmond Lee, CEO of Bit Egg. “By combining thousands of unique animations with a heartwarming story, we’re inviting players to rediscover the joy of looking closely at the world around them.”

Critical Reception: “Chaos with a Heart”

Early reviews have been glowing. GameGrin awarded the title a perfect 10/10, praising its “passion and attention to detail,” while SECTOR gave it a 9/10, calling it the “perfect healing game for a busy world.” Fans of Unpacking, Hidden Folks, and A Little to the Left have quickly embraced the game, noting that its “duck-intern” narrative adds a layer of humor often missing from the genre.
