- A highly anticipated K-indie title that won Best Game at G-STAR 2025 and surpassed 20,000 on Steam Wishlists
- Co-published by Sandy Floor & GameMirror Games… Proving Expectations by Ranking 81st at Steam Next Fest
- The satisfying feel of manually bouncing and hitting targets instead of auto-attacks… G.ROUND records highest score in intensive user test
A new title is being released that adds the “feel” of players directly aiming and calculating angles to the survivor genre, which is centered on automatic attacks.
PengPong, a bullet heaven roguelike developed by Korean indie developer Sandy Floor and published by global indie publisher Gamirror Games, will be officially released on Steam on August 20.
Pengpong is a reflex-physics-based action game where players defeat enemies by bouncing weapons and various objects off a hockey stick. Featuring unique combat that combines the reflex mechanics of pinball with the progression system of Bullet Heaven roguelike, the game garnered early attention by winning the “Best Game Award,” selected by audience vote at the G-STAR 2025 Indie Showcase. A free demo is currently available on Steam.

Bounce and reflect with a hockey stick… Bullet Heaven action that captures the tactile feel
Peng Pong’s battlefield is filled with endless waves of enemies and projectiles bouncing in all directions. Players must swing a hockey stick to deflect weapons and objects in the desired direction and defeat enemies with the reflected attacks.
The highlight of this game is the satisfying tactile sensation of taking down multiple enemies at once by triggering a chain reaction like in pinball. Unlike traditional survivor games that rely on auto-attacks, players must manually calculate angles and aim their attacks, meaning their control skills determine the outcome of the battle.
The game also adds roguelike elements, allowing players to complete their own unique builds by combining various weapons and enhancement effects. As the build matures, projectiles sweep away enemies in succession along their intended paths, maximizing the genre’s signature sense of progression.
A game for Survivor fans who want the thrill of the game
Sandy Floor CEO Lee Jong-chang stated, “Pengpong was designed to maximize the satisfaction of gamers who enjoy survivor-style games but miss the so-called ‘hand feel’ of physical combat,” adding, “We aim to present the inherent fun of gaming that users can enjoy with various builds and never get bored, even after repeated play.”
The development team significantly improved the game system through a total of four Focus Group Tests (FGT). The existing wave system was redesigned into a structure where players climb 30 floors, and the lobby, growth system, resource acquisition methods, and shop layout were completely revamped to enhance the fun of strategic build selection.
In addition, we have continuously improved the overall combat, including boss patterns, projectile visibility, user interface (UI), and difficulty balance, and we plan to add a cooperative mode that up to two players can enjoy together after the official release.
Over 20,000 on Wishlist · Top Rank at Steam Next Fest … Expectations Proven by Numbers
Pengpong has received high interest through various events and tests even before its launch.
Since the demo was released in November 2025, the game has been continuously improved by incorporating feedback from over 150 global users, and it achieved the highest score in the G.ROUND intensive user test.
It surpassed 20,000 wishlist entries on Steam and ranked 81st out of over 4,300 entries at Steam Next Fest held in June 2026, proving the interest of global users.
In Korea as well, it received praise at the G-STAR 2025 Indie Showcase for “showing fun different from existing survivor games,” and was recognized for its quality by winning the Best Game award through audience voting.
‘Pengpong’ introduces a new combat system involving direct aiming and calculating reflection angles to the survivor genre, which has evolved around auto-attacks. Having received favorable reviews from users even before its release for its emphasis on tactile feel and strategic depth, attention is now focused on how it will be received by global Bullet Heaven and Roguelike fans following its official launch.
